twenty four
______________________"Well, Lydia, I ordered the pizza 20 minutes ago and they said it'll be ready in twenty minutes," Allison told the strawberry blond girl drove as Lydia drove though the dark town. "So you'd want to pick up the pace."
"What are they gonna do? Give our pizza to someone else? I'm going as fast as I can," Lydia said, stopping at a light. The three girls decided to have a study night tonight and it was now their pizza break.
"You two need to calm down, we will get there, alright?" Brie laughed at the two bickering before taking a moment to look around at their surroundings. "If Lydia can actually find where the takeout place is."
"Yeah, are you sure this is the right way," Allison asked looking around herself. "I mean, you've lived here a lot longer then I have but I'm almost sure this is the way to the school."
"What do you mean?" Lydia asked, focusing on the road. "This is definitely the right way."
"Lydia, we are literally at the high school," Brie furrowed her brows, watching as she drove up to the high school car park. "Which is on the other side of town."
Lydia laughed, "Don't be ridiculous. Why would I bring us to...?"
She cut herself off, looking around to see that they were at the high school. Just then, an unsettling feeling washed over Brie.
"It's a dead body, isn't it?" Brie asked, hoping they could've had a normal night for once.
"A dead body?" Allison repeated, in shock.
"Most definitely a dead body," Lydia nodded, her eyes widening. "This isn't fair. Why do I have to be the one finding dead bodies? You get cool wings and can set things on fire while I'm just a human GPS for dead bodies."
"Well, should we go look around?" Allison asked. "Why is there a dead body at the school?"
"No, I'm done with dead bodies, someone else can deal with it," Lydia said, going to start the car up again.
"Lydia, we can't just leave," Brie stopped her, pulling out her phone. "I'll call Stiles, he'll want to know about this."
"I'll call Scott," Allison added, taking out her own phone.
"I'll just sit here," Lydia muttered. "Wondering what I did in my life to end up as the dead body finder. Considering I don't have a boyfriend to call."
"Sure you don't want to give Aiden a ring?" Brie smirked, teasing her best friend.
"Har har," Lydia laughed sarcastically. "Just call your stupid boyfriend."
After one ring Stiles picked up.
"Hey, love, what's up?"
Brie blushed at the nickname. She loved the way it sounded coming out of his mouth. She almost forgot why she was calling him for a minute.
"Nothing much, Lydia just found a dead body."
"What? Are you serious?" he sounded panicked. Brie could hear him getting up and shuffling around through the phone. "Where are you? Who's dead?"
"Just meet us at the school," Brie told him.
"I'm on my way."
Brie hung up and Allison announced that Scott was also on the way.
It didn't take long for the two boys to arrive, Scott on his motorcycle and Stiles in his jeep. They surprisingly arrived at the same time.
"Where is she?" Brie heard Stiles say to Scott once he got out of his jeep.
