Somehow Colin convinced Penelope to stay for the rest of the night. But when Penelope woke up in the morning she started to leave. She was rushing so much that she didn't realize Colin was already out of his bed. When she went to grab her jacket is when she realized because he was right there.
"You're already up," Penelope whispered.
"Yeah," Colin replied, "I was hoping to see you before you left."
"I was just about to leave. Sorry to bug you," Penelope's voice is quiet almost so quiet that he can't hear her. But he can.
"Why would you be bugging me?" Colin asks
"Despite what went on during the night, I still stand by what I said." Penelope says
"Penelope, please don't. I don't want you to do this," Colin says, standing up and taking her hand in his
"You're never gonna love me, right?" Penelope asked him.
Colin was at a lost for words. Because he couldn't lie to her and say yes, but he couldn't tell her the truth because it would break her.
"That's what I thought," Penelope mumbled, "I think I better be going."
"Penelope," Colin said softly
"What is there to say? I cannot be in this relationship, Colin. I can't go through heartbreak again. You will never love me. And I can't go through that. I'm sorry, Colin. I really am but I can't." Penelope didn't know how to explain anything anymore. Because all she wanted to do was burst into tears.
When she walked out the door tears were rolling down her cheek and she couldn't stop them.
Inside Colin was going over what had just happened. He didn't know what love was. But he knew he liked Penelope, at least. He really cared for her and didn't want for their relationship to end.
Penelope wasn't going home cause she had to go sign some contracts for a new show she booked a few weeks ago. And she knew paparazzi would be there. She just couldn't face people right now. But she had to.
The paparazzi seemed to not leave her alone right now. She kept getting questioned if she was still dating Colin. Like they knew something.
Oh shit. Did they know something?
