Colin sat on his couch looking at the pictures from the day before. He knew that his would be awful for Penelope. And he wanted to call her so bad. He wanted to make sure she was okay. But he knew he shouldn't call her, because she probably wouldn't answer.
He needed to call someone though. So he went to Daphne's contact.
"Dap," Colin immediately says once Daphne answers the phone.
"Colin? Are you okay?" Daphne asks.
"I need help," Colin says calmly
"Do you need me to go to your apartment? What's happening?" Daphne asks, genuine worry in her voice.
"You don't need to come to my apartment I just need help with my girlfriend, well technically ex girlfriend," Colin says.
"So you and Penelope did break up," Daphne replied.
"Yeah, I wish we didn't but we did," Colin whispers.
"What did you fuck up?" Daphne asks.
"Who says I fucked anything up!" Colin immediately replied.
"I'm sorry," Daphne says, "did you fuck up?"
"Okay, yes, maybe I did!" Colin groans, "but I honestly don't know if I did or not."
"Why?" Daphne asks.
"Because she's in love with me. And I don't know if I love her back," Colin says calmly.
Daphne knew Colin had a very difficult time opening up. But him possibly being in love, was something Colin had never said.
"What makes you think that, Colin? I've never heard you say that you could possibly be in love with a girl," Daphne is calm, trying to say this as simply as possible.
"I don't know. I just feel so different about her. I feel something so deep that makes me never want to part from her. Like she's my best friend but so much more. She makes me smile more then anyone else ever has. She's defended me when I didn't know what it was for. I would do anything to keep her happy. Which makes me so...heartbroken? That she wants to not be with me. Because I would do anything to be next to her right now," Colin let everything out.
And that's what Daphne knew. Her brother was in love with Penelope. He just didn't understand the concept of love. But he was madly in love with Penelope Featherington. And she would do anything to make sure he knew that.
