Lucy's POV

I don't know what's going on in my brain.

You like him Lucy, my brain said.

Shut up. I'm just being friendly.

"Excuse me?" George asked, spewing out his dinner.

Katarah scolded him quietly.

I was thinking out loud, again.

I'm a mess.

"You're a good cook George," I said, chewing.

"Actually, I cooked it," Katarah said.

"Sorry," I said. "It's real good, thanks,"

"No need to thank me," she said dismissively. She was really nice, I could already see why George liked her.

After meals, I went up to my room, decided I had nothing to do, so I went out to the backyard and sat down on the bench. I stayed that way for a long time, thinking.

Some time later, a figure sat down beside me.

It was Lockwood.

"Hi," I said.

"Hi," he greeted back. "So about the get to know each other better, I have some questions."

"Shoot," I said.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Blue, or red.'' I said. "How about you?"

"It changes everyday. When I see the sunset, it's orange. But it never changes every time I look at you, it's this certain shade of brown I see in your eyes,"

Smooth, I noted. I blushed at him.

"I'm glad you like it."

He closed his eyes. "God, Lucy, if you're just leading me on, you're going to kill me,"

"What?" I asked, confused. Leading him on what?

"Nothing," he said. "Forget about it,"

A short moment of silence.

"You find me weird, right?" he asked.

I laughed. "Not necessarily. You're funny and kind. At least, I think so,"

"You don't think I'm a crazy person who called you love on the first minute you woke up?"

"Nope," I said, my smile growing. I heard him mutter 'beautiful' before turning away to look at the moonlight.

I heard it, and started blushing.

Oh, he definitely knew how to flirt with a lady.

Wait, me Lucy Carlyle, a lady?

Yeah right.

"I'm kind of getting sleepy," I yawned.

"C'mere," he said, gesturing me to come closer to him.

I hesitated a bit, and did what I was told.

He patted on his lap, telling me to put my head on it.

This time, I didn't hesitate.

I leaned on his lap, looking at the stars.

Before I knew it, my eyes were hooded, and then closed.
