Lockwood's POV

As soon as lunch was over, I personally went over to Scorpius' place.

"Um, hi?" he said.

"Listen, if you're planning to win over Lucy right now, I'm going to kill you. As in now."

He raised his eyebrows at me.

"Care to join me for tea?"

-----------------------------

It was really sad, but Malfoy's flat was cozier than I thought.

At least he has a sense of style, I thought. Better than a style-less guy.

Back to the conversation..

"English breakfast or Earl Grey?" he offered.

"Earl Grey, please," I said, wincing afterwards. Why did I add the please?

Sometimes I was too polite for my own good.

"What makes you think I was going to get Lucy back?" he asked me.

"No games, Malfoy. Just tell me the straight up answer, so I could leave."

"I'm in love, Lockwood," he sighed.

"With whom?" I asked, having that bad feeling that it was going to be Lucy, and we'll fight, and the past will repeat itself.

"The love of my life, the person who managed to capture my heart the moment I saw her-"

"Her name," I growled.

"Oh," he said. "Rose. Rose Weasley."

"Is she from uni?"

"Nope, from Hogwarts, my old school." He said. "Wait.. Why am I even telling you these stuff?"

I gave him a crooked smile.

"Maybe you're not as bad as I thought." I said.

"Yeah, I'm a great guy. And I'm over her! Anyway, I hope you two can work out well." He said.

"Listen, that's the problem, mate," I sighed. "She doesn't seem to like me that way at all,"

"Love doesn't come and go. I know she was in love with you, so medical conditions are not going to change the fact you loved each other."

"That's the smartest thing you've ever said that I heard." I said as he rolled his eyes at that. "And note the past form. Loved," I said.

"She knows it deep within her heart that you still love her, and she still loves you."

"How do you know?" I asked.

"I'm her best friend." He said simply.

I scowled at him.

He raised his hands up in surrender. "I told you, I'm dating someone else!"

"Fine," I grumbled. "Don't try to make a move on her,"

"Like I would," he said. "I have an idea. Tell me something with your good memories in it. Like places you went to alone, that probably has an impact on her."

"I don't know," I said slowly. "Wait.. I do know."

"Hey, I'll give you my number. My Rosie is visiting me in a while, and I'm planning to propose to her. What do you think?"

"Sure, if that's what you want. Congrats!" I said genuinely to him.

"Hey, do you mind doing me a favor?" he asked.

"Depends. What?"

"Pretend you're my mate-"

"Hey! I am your mate," I said.

"And say I'm in the park. You know, it's a significant place for the both of us. Proposing.. you know well about it. You did it before. How did you do it? I'm just so nervous,"

"You talk way too much, you actually sound gay. But sure, why not? I have some time to spare," I said.

"Thanks," he said gratefully.

***How do you think of Lockwood and Scorpius' budding bromance? I love it!***
