Lockwood's POV
"What?" I asked, wide eyed.
I haven't come down for breakfast on purpose, afraid of Lucy's reaction to last night.
It was too much to hope for to say she wouldn't remember.
Still, I was hoping.
So I told George to tell her I was out instead, when I was actually in my room, if she asked.
And now he comes telling me that she's out.
I have no problem with that.
The problem is, she's OUT TO SEE SCORPIUS.
I have a problem with that.
Scorpius. How does he manage to make her remember him?
Jealous? No. Never.
"Why did you let her go?'' I asked anxiously, pacing around the kitchen.
George was leaning on the kitchen counter.
"You know, she kinda changed," he noted.
"Kinda? She got amnesia. Amnesia, mate. Does that ring a bell on you?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes. "Cheekiness will get you nowhere, Lockwood,"
"Whatever,"
"I'm saying, she changed."
"What do you mean?"
"She's not so sarcastic and bitchy anymore, she's more.. reserved, I guess? More polite, and you know. Amnesia changed Lucy Carlyle." George rambled on.
"Don't remind me," I snarled.
"Hey, let her live her life. If she wants to see her mate Scorpius, let her see him. You do want to see her happy right?"
He's got a point. Sadly.
"I do, but he would take advantage of her! Of her memories," I said, frustrated.
"Uh, mate, that's kind of the exact same thing you're doing." He said.
I only scowled at him.
"George." I said in a low voice. "I'm not taking advantage of her,"
"You kissed her last night, didn't you?"
"How did you know?" I asked.
"I can see." He said smugly.
"Listen, if Katarah had amnesia and she didn't remember you, wouldn't you be acting the same as I am?"
His face turned more apologetic.
"I get it, Lockwood. Sorry, mate. I know how you're feeling, but don't let it affect you. If she truly loved you, she'd come back to you. I know it,"
I didn't know what to say. So I kept silent.
"Want some breakfast?" George asked me.
