Lucy's POV
This time, I went around town and slowly walked on my way to the park.
I didn't even know the reason why I was heading there.
Then I spotted Lockwood, and was about to wave to him when I saw a girl beside him.
Something flared inside my stomach.
Anyone could see the girl was unexceptionally pretty, with high cheekbones and flowing ginger hair.
I blinked for a second.
Did she like him?
Or worse, did he like her?
He was obviously walking her towards this big tree where I saw a tiny figure with.. white hair (could have been white blond) standing below.
I saw her laugh. I caught up closer to hear what they were talking about.
"Oh, I'm so glad I met you-"she said when I rudely walked in between them.
I pushed up the sunglasses perched on my nose.
"Excuse me," I said coldly to the astonished girl.
Stupid.
"Lockwood, I thought you wanted to talk to me. My schedule is empty now, so talk to me now, or don't talk to me forever," I snarled at him and walked away.
"Wait!" the girl said. "Aren't you Lucy?"
I stopped.
"Do I know you?" I asked dangerously. She clapped her hands in delight.
"Oh, it is you! Scorpius has said so much about you, I couldn't wait to meet you!"
I tried to think when the truth heavily dawned on me. I gasped.
"Are you Rose?"
"Yeah!" she said cheerfully. "Lockwood and I were just walking to see Scorpius, who said he wanted to meet me here,"
"Oh," I said, embarrassed. "I'm so sorry for my rudeness. You know.." I trailed.
She winked at me.
"I get it," she said, glancing at Lockwood before turning back to me.
"I get it so well," she said. I blushed scarlet.
"I will never get women." Lockwood muttered. "One minute they're all mad at each other and the other minute they're friends."
"It's just because of a misunderstanding," I said.
"Okay, I'll leave you guys to it." He said.
"Ooh, I see Scorpius!" Rose said.
He was holding.. a bunch of roses? Maybe it was their anniversary.
"Is it your anniversary?"
"Yeah," Rose said, smiling. "It's so sweet of him to bring me roses,"
Lockwood was smiling like there was no tomorrow. Why?
"Hi," Scorpius said to me and I greeted back.
He nodded to Lockwood and he grinned back at him.
He handed the flowers to Rose and he.. kneeled down. Was he doing what I thought he was doing?
"Rose Weasley, I've been horrible to you from day one, I treated you like shit because you weren't pure-blood, and I was, so I made fun of you and bullied you. And yet you always forgave me. I realized you were better than anyone else on this planet. You're the smartest witch that I've ever met, and you are single-handedly the nicest person too. Please, will you do the honor of being my fiancée?" he asked.
Rose and I had tears in our eyes.
I was officially drowning in the Scorose feels.
"C'mon, Lucy, let's give them some space," Lockwood suggested, and I agreed.
When they were out of our sight, I squealed loudly.
"Scorpius is getting married! My baby's getting married!"
"Hey, he's not your baby," Lockwood pouted at me. Aww.
"Fine, my best friend is getting married. Happy?"
"Happy as I'll ever be," he said and we walked back home together.
