Lockwood's POV

It was not long before I saw Lucy on the playground in the flat. She waved me over to the swing she was sitting on.

I sat down beside her on the other swing.

"So what's so important you had to tell me to come?"

"Listen, I had a weird dream. Tell me if it was real, okay?" she asked me.

"Uh, okay. Sure," I said.

"I can't remember accurately, but here goes nothing," she took a deep breath. "I was in a café, alone, when you and I walked in. Well, the other Lucy, not me, but yeah. Are you getting it so far?"

"Yeah." I said quietly and nodded. "Please continue,"

"So I just watched you two talk, and you won't believe me, but you said you loved me since I first walked in your agency, and you wanted to spend eternity with me. You said you were my soulmate.. You wouldn't marry anyone else if it weren't for me. then you.. proposed to me. Like, you asked me to marry you."

When she finally looked up to look at me, I had tears in my eyes.

I didn't even bother wiping them away.

She looked alarmed.

"Did I make you cry?" she asked.

"I'm fine," I said.

"So.. is it just a fragment of my imagination, or.." she trailed.

"Lucy," I said. "Everything you said happened in real life."

I closed my eyes for a while, afraid for her reaction.

No reaction.

"Luce?" I asked to see Lucy on the ground.

She had fainted.

"Lucy!" I yelled and carried her.

I brought her inside Scorpius' house.

He looked beyond shocked when he saw Lucy in my arms, but didn't comment.

"She'll be fine, just tell her I left when she wakes up," I told him, who nodded.

I walked towards the door when I heard a frail voice calling me.

"Lockwood.. Don't leave me," Lucy whispered.
