Lucy's POV"A seashore?" I asked, confused.
At the word seashore, scenes flashed past my eyes.
I blinked a multiple times.
"You okay?" Lockwood asked.
"I'm good." I said. "Anyway, why are we here?"
"You'll see," he said.
I scoffed. "Another phrase that I hate,"
"You hate my vocabulary," he said.
He seemed to be looking for something.
"Hey.. What's that?" I asked. I saw a long bottle with flashes of pink and blue stuck between 2 rocks.
I stepped out of my shoes and walked into the sea.
I got the bottle, and I could swear Lockwood's breath hitched as I raised it above my head.
"I found a bottle!" I said.
"Do you.. Do you want to open it?" he said hesitantly.
"Yeah, sure. I love mysteries!"
"I know," he said in a low voice.
"I'm going to read the blue one first," I said. "Pink for girls. Stereotypes."
"So I get to read yours- I mean the pink one?"
"What do you mean mine?" I asked but Lockwood just shook his head and gestured at me to open the tightly corked bottle.
I pulled out the pink paper and gave it to Lockwood.
I got the blue one and began reading.
Dear Luce my fiancée,
They say the ending is the fresh beginning of something.
Like us.
I promised you I will take care of you forever, and Lucy Carlyle, I plan on keeping that promise.
I can't wait for the day you'll be finally mine, like I'm forever yours.
Thank you, love, for giving me the best thing I've ever had: you.
You were the best thing that happened to me.
This is full of sap and cheesy remarks, but I want you to know you mean a lot to me.
I love you.
Forever and always, no matter what happens.
Anthony Lockwood.
I couldn't say anything. I didn't even notice the tears on my eyes.
This letter ignited something in me. It made me remember everything.
Every kiss, every word he whispered to me.
All the good memories.
Lockwood.
My love.
I looked at him, who was staring at me with love in his eyes.
I threw myself at him and sobbed into him.
"I'm so sorry," I repeated myself.
"Why are you apologizing?" he asked.
"I hurt you so much," I cried. "I should have remembered,"
"Do you remember anything?"
"Only that your name is Lockwood." I said as his face fell.
I laughed.
"I'm kidding." I said. "Yeah, I remember everything. Every single detail,"
He just hugged me tight, like he would never let go.
"I want to read my own letter," I mumbled into his chest.
"Of course, love," he said, handing the pink paper to me.
To my dear Lockwood,
Hi. It's Lucy. Your fiancée, your girlfriend and the love of your life. I swear, I would never be standing where I am, if it weren't for you. You kept me grounded, you made me feel special, and you made me feel like I was the only person in the world worth everything. I really want to thank you for everything, you are the reason why I smile everyday, why I keep living. I love you so much, Lockwood, and now.. Kiss me you fool.
Love forever,
Your Luce xx
I laughed. The letter was so me.
"Now I have to do something you requested me to do.." Lockwood said.
"Kiss me you fool," I smiled at him and he leant down to kiss me.
This time, I didn't push him away.
Why?
Because I knew I loved him.
*Awwwwwww my Locklyle feels are dying now! At least Lucy remembers now*
