No, no, no. This cannot be happening right now. She cannot be blushing over anyone but the man she is to marry in a month. Let alone that overly sarcastic and cheeky wedding planner...

Just thinking about yesterday's incident made her cheeks flush.

And it was embarrassing.

As fuck.

Jennie comforted herself, reminding her that she just behaved like anyone else would have in such a situation. Anyone would turn as red as a tomato and run out of the room, not stopping to look back at the surprised expression on that latter's face. If out of the blue, you were to find yourself being held closely, close enough to be able to count all the eyelashes on the other's face.

Her face.

It was so beautiful.

Suddenly becoming aware of what she was thinking, Jennie quickly shook herself. Muttering a "get yourself together", she switched off her lights. Pulling up the covers, she heaved out a sigh.

She loved Jong-in. It was the only reason she was putting up with all of this. If you were to tell her old classmates or any family member of hers, they would never believe it if they were told that Jennie Kim, the most conceited person on the planet, was listening to a bunch of people tell her what kind of a wedding look she should go for. And actually, taking their opinions into consideration.

Guess that's love, huh?

-

"Jennie!"

Jennie was taken by surprise to be engulfed in a sudden embrace but smiled when she realized who it was. It was Roseanne Park- her childhood best friend.

"Rosé! I can't believe you were able to come!" Jennie said, letting go of the hug and taking a good look at her. She had grown taller (was she ever going to stop?) and just looked somewhat happier. Smiling widely Rosé replied, "How could I not? I'd kick Mr Lee in the shins if he didn't let me be my best friend's maid of honor."

Giggling, she got out of her bed, still in her pajamas.

Usually, Jennie would commit homicide if anyone were to enter her room without knocking. That too, so early in the morning. But since it was Rosé, she didn't mind.

"So, are you going to whip up some breakfast or what?"

-

"No orange is really not my color," Jennie said. "Or anyone's for that matter. It's literally so ugly." The blonde that she had her arms interlocked with, scoffed. "Any color would look good on you Jen. Shut up."

They were strolling on the sidewalk, swinging their arms together, holding a cup of boba each in their hands.

Rosé insisted on going out. Saying that it had been forever since she had just walked around with no purpose. Jennie didn't have the heart to tell her friend that she could barely feel her legs and that she was completely exhausted mentally. And so, they had set out, with no particular destination in mind.

A bookstore across the street caught Jennie's eyes. She tapped on Rosé's arms and pointed in the direction of the store. Rosé looked at her incredulously.

"Do you not know how fucking sick I am of seeing words on paper?? It's all I look at back home. I swear to God why did I ever think becoming a doctor was a good idea!" She cursed herself. Jennie giggled, but quickly straightened her expression after the death glare Rosé was giving her. It was true, some five years ago, when the girl had burst into Jennie's room (like she always does), she was quite surprised. She was happy of course, but the blonde had never mentioned any interest in the medical field.

Since then, every time they would meet Rosé would just continue ranting about how much she hated studying and how she would just rather marry a rich woman.

Reluctantly, the brunette convinced her friend to enter the store with her.

Why did she have to be here?
