Jennie crumpled up another sheet of ruled paper, throwing it away in some remote corner of her room. The lights were all turned off. The only light present, emitting from the sunlight that entered her space through her French windows.

Her head, her thoughts, she, herself; felt all over the place. All scrambled up.

Why was she feeling like this? She couldn't focus on anything. This, of course, was highly unusual to the perfectionist-type A-freak-neurotic-punctuality-above-everything bride.

Highly unusual

Why? Though she probably knew the answer, Jennie just didn't want to come to terms with it.

This was the seventh time Jennie tried to shortlist her favorite menu for the deserts. It was ridiculous. Her mind kept flashing back to three nights ago... She hadn't spoken nor met up with her wedding planner since.

Just then, when Jennie was lost in her own thoughts for the nth time, Chaeyoung stormed into the girl's room.

 "Jen, I-"

She stopped midway her sentence, staring at Jennie's table, a complete disoriented mess. Much like Jennie herself.

"Please don't tell me you're still shortlisting the deserts because I will lose my shit if it is so."

"I am still shortlisting the deserts."

"You need help." Chaeyoung replied, her voice smothered in agitation. She couldn't understand for the love of God why in the world her friend had been so 'out of it' since the past few days. Asking Jennie was useless, she would simply shrug her shoulders and go 'Nothing's wrong'.

The blonde seated herself on a chair she pulled towards her, facing her friend. "Why are you losing your mind over such a trivial decision? What do you have a wedding planner for?"

-

Here she was again. Right in front of the big wooden door. It still had those stupid ivy's and tulip's hanging all over and around it.

The bell was there too. Should she ring it? Considering that she almost became permanently deaf and caused more ruckus than her classroom had when she brought a frog to school one day. (it was a long story)

But since Jennie is known to make decisions that are and have been proved to be very clearly, stupid and won't result in anything good, she went ahead with it.

They still hadn't fixed it, Jennie thought to herself, sighing in disappointment. Her palms shielding her ears from the alarm that sounded like a Wailing Banshee.

But to the bride-to-be's surprise, the wooden door swung open way faster than the last time. Almost instantly.

And there stood her wedding planner, panting heavily, as if she had run all the way here. She, of course, looked as gorgeous as ever. Strands of her hair falling gently on her porcelain skin, the rest of her hair tied into a pair of cute pigtails.

There she stood, Kim Jisoo, after kissing another girl.

Jennie couldn't help but wonder if the latter had slept soundly since then. She wondered if her picture had flashed before the older's eyes when that other girl leaned in. She wondered if she had thought of Jennie at all.

"Hi." Jisoo says quietly, her usual slapstick humor, paired with sarcasm and snappy remarks and most of all, her smug smile, nowhere to be found. She sounded almost, Jennie thought to herself, nervous...?

There was something different in Jisoo's eyes now. It wasn't the usual flirty playfulness; it was something way more sincere. Something incredibly genuine.

"I was waiting for you, Jendukie."

And there they were again, those stupid butterflies, all fluttering in a frenzy.
