"Two bowls of Tonkotsu ramen along with an onigiri each please!"

"Coming right up!"

Tearing through the bustling crowd, which they were shocked to find this late in the day, Jennie and Jisoo headed towards a comfortable table. It was made of oak-wood and looked identical to the one Jennie's mom had in her attic. Mrs. Kim used to own a small ramen store herself, that was before she had Jennie. After which, she closed it down.

"It wasn't successful or anything. And don't speak during lunch!" Her mom would say whenever she asked about her shop when she was still a little girl.

"Why is there such a crowd here? It's past midnight," remarked Jisoo. While looking around the cramped room that was still buzzing with hungry customers.

"Because this place serves the absolute BEST food? Why else hobo?"

Caught off-guard, the duo turned around to see a man, wearing a dusty coat, a pointy mustache and a hairline that was almost at the back of neck. Jennie hated how much he looked like the headmaster of the school she worked in.

...

Oh wait...

-

She sneered at the girl walking beside her. She seemed to be having the time of her life recounting the most dreadful hour of Jennie's life. "I cannot believe how fun Kyung-soo is!" Jisoo exclaimed, smiling broadly.

Maybe 'fun' wasn't the right word, but he was something alright.

She didn't know how in the world Jisoo had managed to make him "open up" and then proceed to do all kinds of bullshit. Which includes- crying profusely, dancing to a Boa song (he knew the choreography by heart), drinking way too much soju than he should and playing tic-tac-toe on the restraunt bill. Jennie was pretty sure that he promised to raise her salary by 534% somewhere in between all this, but she doubted whether he would live up to his words.

"Trust me, I didn't know either. He's quite horrible in school. All the kids call him 'hairless pennywise.' " she said, blowing on her palms a little. It was pretty cold.

They were taking a walk around town. She had no idea why they hadn't parted ways yet as the task had been finished. They had decided on "The Roman Army at War: 100 BC-AD 200". But as you would know it, Jennie had voiced out her hunger and the next thing she knew, her wedding planner was dragging her to the nearest restraunt. "It's okay if you suppress your emotions, never suppress your hunger", she had said.

"Jendueki, your nose is turning all red. Are you cold?"

She felt herself blush at the nickname. She never had one before, except 'Jen'. Which, in her opinion, wasn't very creative.

"Huh? Oh, well just a little." She could feel heat rising to her cheeks. Was she going to do what she thought she was going to?

"Are you sure it's just a little?"

"Okay, fine! I'm so fucking cold I'm pretty sure my blood will freeze."

Stopping in her tracks, Jisoo turned towards Jennie. Looking straight into the coffee-brown eyes of the latter, she whispered slowly.

"Oh."
