Avva at top
When we were all in the car I was sat next to Avva in the passenger side and Lisa was with Jennifer in the back Avva was playing with her music loudly to avoid talking to Jennifer most likely. When we did get to my house my mother was at work so it was just us there were pros and cons to that but I don't witch I would have preferred. Avva had been here before and as always made herself at home by heading to the kitchen and making herself a sandwich I swear that girl will never change. As Lisa and Avva chit chat in the kitchen I took Jennifer up to my room so we could get started on our project it was the main reason she was here. Once we got to my room I was expecting her take a quick glance around and make some kind of face but I found her staring at my FEAR band poster.
"You a fan," Jennifer asked pointing to the poster.
"Yeah I mean not only is their music great but I admire how the lead singer and bass player are so openly gay," I said.
"Are you," Jennifer said.
"I thought half the school knew by now, yes I am gay just haven't told my mother yet," I said.
"And your dad," Jennifer said getting a little too interested in my personal life.
"Died when I was 4 so I never got the chance," I said.
"I know the feeling," Jennifer mumbled probably didn't know I heard.
"Well let's get started," I said as I pulled out all the stuff I had prepared for the project.
The two of us worked for about an hour before Avva and Lisa joined us and as we did I found that even though I hardly know her Jennifer and I work surprisingly well together. I sent a note to Jennifer as we studied without Avva seeing I asked her that if my mother comes home and if everyone is still here that not tell my mother. She wrote back saying that she not be a very nice person but she is not evil or horrible I gave her a look of trust and she nodded. After another hour everyone had left and I was laying on my bed with only one thought in my head how the hell did I not notice how beautiful Jennifer was until now. I mean I knew she was good looking but she may be better looking than Avva and Avva prides herself on her sex appeal to the point where she will use it to get what she wants. My mum came back a few hours later and I came down to find my mum had a few people over I assumed that they were from work she did this a few times.
The next day it was like Jennifer was purposefully ignoring or avoiding me I mean we're not friends and I didn't expect us to start talking because of one project but... Forget it. I sat with Avva and Lisa at lunch I guess for now she would be hanging out with us and not like it bothers me other than the fact that Avva was trying to get into her pants she was a genuinely nice person. I was halfway into my ham and cheese sandwich when I saw Jennifer a few tables away eating her lunch alone it wasn't out of the ordinary for her as she didn't really want to be around others. I got home and was just walking around not really doing anything bored to death when there was a knock at the front door and I answered it to find Lisa there.
"Hey hope you don't mind me dropping by like this but I had a question," Lisa said.
"Depends on what your question is about," I said.
"Oh well it's about Avva," Lisa said.
"What about her," I said.
"So she's not seeing anyone right now is she" Lisa said oh Avva you lucky girl.
"As far as I know she is still single," I said.
"She ever made a move on you," Lisa said.
"Once but I turned her down I mean she is hot definitely no doubt about that but I've known her for a while not really my type," I said.
"Okay cool thanks," Lisa said before leaving.
I went back to my room and found the box of all the pictures that me and Avva took together I pulled them out and look through them. I found the photo I was looking for it was the day we spent at the beach just the two of us that was where I told her I like girls. I was afraid she would reject me until she asked me what took me so long to come out she accepted me wholeheartedly and I pulled out my phone and took a picture as I kissed her on the cheek. I lay down on my bed as I think about that day and what has changed since then and in the truth the only thing that has changed is that most of the school now knows. It's not bad I mean the school isn't against it and I and Avva are just two of the 50 gay kids at the school so I don't get any shit for it. I guess in truth the fact that I haven't told my mother may be the reason I am still single guess the next trial is telling her without it getting out of hand. I spent most of that night thinking of the best way to tell my mother I am gay the thing that scared me was that I never got her opinion on the matter so telling her could go either way. The next day Avva was in the car and as I expected Lisa was in the passenger seat I smiled at them and hoped in the back as Avva drove to school.
