A Difficult Choice

Epilogue

"Hey hun are you ready yet if we don't get there they will start without us and you know what Avva is like," I heard Jennifer yell from the stairs. 

"Two minutes," I yelled back as I fixed my hair. 

"That's what you said 6 minutes ago," Jennifer said.

"Yeah well this time I mean it," I said as I got up and left my room. 

I left the bedroom and then went to the stairs to see my beautiful wife standing by the door waiting for me. It has been five years since we began living together and Jennifer and I have been married for 2 of those years. We were now going to Avva and Lisa's wedding they would have gotten married sooner but stuff kept on getting in the way. Now they had finally got everything to work and now we were going to be late we rushed to the car and almost broke the speed limit.

"There you are what took so long," Avva said hugging me as we arrived at her dressing room in the church.

"My wife took her sweet time getting ready," Jennifer said.

"Took my sweet time for my sweet friend's wedding," I said.

"Awwwwww I just can't stay mad at you," Avva said hugging me.

"Same here," I said hugging her back.

"Well we have wasted enough time already we shall go and find our seats we can catch up after the ceremony," Jennifer said.

We left the room and found our seats Avva had reserved us some seats at the front with her family I would have liked to have been the maid of honor but Avva said her sister deserved it. We sat down and then the music started and we turned to see Avva being walked down by her father and he was crying. Once there he shared a few words and took a seat with us next to Jennifer and gave us a nod of approval that we made it. The ceremony was lovely and when Avva kissed Lisa I swear she forgot we were there for a moment it was beautiful. After the ceremony was the after party and after a good few hours we had all switched partners and I was dancing with Avva.

"This reminds me of when we were little kids we used to dance together all the time," I said.

"Yeah not to mention the loud music would drive both our parents nuts," Avva said.

"Yours more than mine since you had the better stereo," I said.

"I am really going to miss you when you move," Avva said hugging me.

"I know but Jennifer got the job of her dreams I couldn't just leave her like that," I said.

"Promise you will visit all the time," Avva said.

"Promise," I said as pulled her in for a hug and kissed her cheek.

"I love you Maisy," Avva said as we danced she was always emotional about this stuff and I knew she meant love as a friend.

"I love you too Avva," I said.

Jennifer and I were moving the very next day and we had all we could in boxes the rest was taken apart and stored to be reassembled at the house. The house we found was beautiful it was a three-story house with far more rooms than we knew what to do with it was perfect for starting a family. It took a few hours to move all our stuff in and another 4 to set it all up with just the two of us. Once we had everything in its place at Avvas request we called up all the friends and family to plan a housewarming party. Luckily all those we invited made it and we had a day full of food, stories and drinking and I loved every minute of it. 

"Hey Jen I wanted to talk to you about something if you're cool with that," I said.

"Sure what's up," Jennifer said as he put down the plates she was washing. 

"Well we have a big house, not that isn't great but I was wondering if you wanted to start a family," I said.

"Like have kids how would that work," Jennifer said.

"We could adopt a child," I said.

"I see... I think I like that idea," Jennifer said with a smile. 

"Your serious?" I asked.

"Yes, it sounds nice," Jennifer said.

 "Thank you," I said running into her arms and kissing her. 

"Yeah but I want you all to myself for at least a few more years before you start taking care of a child," Jennifer said.

"First off our child and second you're helping too," I said.

"I know but I was hoping you would focus on the having you to myself part so we could move this party to the bedroom," Jennifer said.

"We will have plenty of time for that after we are both settled and know where we want to take our future," I said.

"Oh come on let's have this night it is a celebration of us finally getting a place that is just ours I mean we hardly got a chance to sleep together while living with Avva and Lisa and we both know it wasn't for lack of trying," Jennifer said.

"Fine but it better last longer than the last time," I said.

"Hey you and I both know neither of us expected them to come home that early," Jennifer said as she took me upstairs to the bedroom.
