I got home that day with a massive smile on my face I wasn't smiling because of Jennifer more like I was smiling because I felt good to get my own back. I got home and deleted Lucy's contact info and blocked her on all my social media before I went to get something to eat. My mum would be home for dinner so I just had a quick snack and I wasn't hungry either so I didn't eat much. When my mum did get home she inquired as to if I was planning on bringing Lucy over I told her that it was over between us but my interest in girls was still there. My mother nodded and got started on dinner I guess that was her way of clearing her mind so she could think clearly for a moment.

The next day I saw that Lucy was actively avoiding me even going so far as to turn around and walk away from me if she saw me. I sat next to Avva in most of my classes and my lunchtime Jennifer had started hanging out with us sh was actually a really nice person. I was in the library picking up some books I planned on using as reference points on my next paper I was just about done when I turned the corner and ran into someone knocking us both to the floor.

"Watch where you're going," Said the voice as I rubbed my head.

"Sorry," I replied almost on instinct.

I opened my eyes to see the person I had knocked over as did she and froze it had to be her of cores it did who else would it be? Sat in front of me Emma Lucy's actual girlfriend and the one person I don't want to be alone with ever no matter the situation. I got to my feet and grabbed the books but as my hand reached for the last one she grabbed my wrist stopping me.

"Ummmm you do smell good," She said as she got closer to me.

"Let go," I said my voice shaking.

"Cute really cute but I don't think so Lucy may have bought your little show but not me," Emma said.

"Let me go," I said trying to get out of her grip.

"Quit struggling it will make it less painful," Emma said and I realized what she meant.

I was shaking now that I couldn't move I was terrified at what she would do thankfully someone came and pulled her off me.

"You don't when to take a hint do you," Jennifer said as she held Emma by her hair.

"Cut it out you bitch," Emma said clearly in pain.

"Listen close Maisy is mine now that means she is under my protection so unless you want to die keep your filthy hands off her," Jennifer said as she threw Emma to the ground before she walked off.

"You okay," Jennifer said kneeling down to me.

I just pulled her into a hug and held her tight she returned the hug and held me there she then helped me to my feet.

"Come on your in no condition to stay I'll take you home," Jennifer said and I managed a weak nod.

Once Jennifer got me home she took me to my room and lay me down on my bed and rubbed my back until I stopped shaking. She then began to sing it was like a lullaby but I hadn't heard it before as she sang I found myself falling asleep. Once she stopped singing she was about to leave but I stopped her and pulled her down to the bed and snuggled up to her as I slept. When I woke up my clock showed that school had finished an hour ago I saw Jennifer sleeping next to me she looked so peaceful as she slept it was nice something I could get used to. I sat up and looked around there wasn't much in particular to do and I didn't really have the mental capacity to do anything other than go back to sleep.

"Hey," I heard Jennifer say as she woke up.

"Hi, thank you for today by the way I needed that," I said.

"Of course what are friends for," Jennifer said.

"I think you beyond that of a simple friend," I said as I lay down next to her.

"I guess," Jennifer said.

"You have a beautiful singing voice by the way," I said as I closed my eyes and hugged her.

"Thank you," Jennifer said as she hugged me back.

The next day I was with Lisa in the lunch hall as I told her what happened since I guess she and Avva are pretty much never breaking up so might as well get used to her.

"Jesus Christ, and here I thought what Lucy did was bad," Lisa said.

"Believe me I know," I said.

"Well what are you going to do," Lisa said.

"What do you mean," I said.

"You can't let the bitch get away with this," Lisa said.

"You know you're a lot more like Avva than I give you credit for and you can relax Jennifer was there and took care of her," I said.

"So Jennifer huh seems like there is more than just a friendship there," Lisa said.

"Don't you start I already had all this from Avva this morning," I said.

"Oh come on I have seen the way you look at her and that kiss you had was more than just a performance you should totally go for it with her," Lisa said.

"I guess I've got a big decision to make, "I said.

"Damn right you do," Lisa said with a smile as we both let out a laugh.
