You Have Your Secrets I Have Mine

It was the next day I had left the party early after what happened with Jennifer and I wasn't able to focus on anything else. I told Avva I had eaten something I probably shouldn't have and she took me home before returning to the party no doubt. I would have asked Lucy to take me home but after what I did seeing her felt a little too painful after all I practically betrayed her and I hated the feeling. I was having a hard time focusing on anything I had ignored all the calls and texts from the others Lucy in particular I was too focused on the kiss and the fact that I had enjoyed it making the whole situation worse. I sat on my bed laptop open catching up on a few Netflix shows as an attempt to distract myself when I got a Facebook ping from Jennifer so much for forgetting about all this I guess.

Jennifer: Hey do you remember what happened last night at the party?

Me: Yeah.

Jennifer: Mind telling me because I remember seeing you but nothing after that.

Of course, she was drunk but if she was do I tell her the truth or lie to her it's possible she is playing me in the first place.

Me: You sat down next to me we kissed for a while and then I left.

Jennifer: I see.

I was about to ask what she meant before I saw she had logged off so I just logged off myself before I just decided to lay down and listen to music. I got up a good few hours later and went for a walk and ran into the one person in the world I was hoping to avoid at least until school next week.

"Oh hey Maisy there you are what happened last night Avva said she took you home early but wouldn't tell me why," Lucy said.

"Oh yeah, I probably ate something I shouldn't have and didn't feel too well, sorry about ditching you," I said hating the fact that I had to lie to her.

"Really oh well you feel okay now right," Lucy said.

"Yeah I'm much better," I said.

"Good but if you were feeling ill why not ask me to drive you back I could have stayed with you and kept you company," Lucy said.

"Well I didn't want to ruin your night and I asked Avva because we have an agreement between the two of us," I said.

"What kind of agreement," Lucy said.

"A me and Avva one not for you to be part of," I said.

"You really can't tell me," Lucy said.

"Are you saying you tell me every secret you have," I said.

"Well no but..." Lucy said.

"Exactly so you have your secrets and I have mine," I said.

"Fair enough I guess," Lucy said looking down.

"Hey come on don't be like that I mean if this does end up as a fight or just a general disagreement we were bound to have our first one sooner or later," I said.

"Yeah I guess your right and as long as we work through it in the end it won't even matter," Lucy said linking her arm with mine.

"Right," I said.

"So if you are feeling better wanna hang out for the day?" Lucy said.

"Sure," I said with a smile.

The two of us spent the entire day together as Lucy basically treated me like a queen taking me to all my favourite places.

"So I had a talk with my mom and dad and after making sure that they are okay with the whole thing they would like to meet you," Lucy said.

"Really they want to meet me," I said.

"Yeah and don't worry my mom is going to gush all over you whereas my dad will most likely want to see what you're all about," Lucy said.

"Okay, so when," I said.

"I told them they will have to let you decide on that so whenever you feel like you are ready let me know," Lucy said winking at me. 

"Sure," I said and for the first time, I kissed her. 

I went home after that and as I walked down my road about 4 or 5 blocks from my house I froze seeing Jennifer standing there. I began to try and continue walking past her but she stepped in front of me and the silence with the indifferent stair she had was painful.

"Can I help you," I said.

"Wanna talk about last night," Jennifer said.

"I already told," I said.

"Not about that it is about why you kissed me back after all your sleeping with Lucy ain't ya," Jennifer said.

"I'm dating her if that is what you mean," I said.

"Take my advice and break it off with her before that happens," Jennifer said.

"And why the hell should I do that," I said.

"because after Lucy is bored with the high school romance sex is all she will be after, not to mention the fact that once she has taken your first time there never be another time," Jennifer said.

"You think I am just going to take your word for it," I said.

"Fine talk to Anne in class B3 she can show you proof," Jennifer said and before passing me she leaned in.

"You're a good kisser by the way hope to do it again sometime," She said as left as I blushed crazily.

I got home and tried to forget what she said but I couldn't and the fact that I also enjoyed the kiss made it worse. I got a text from Avva with a picture of her and Lisa in bed together with the caption "Damn she's good" and I rolled my eyes. I put my phone away and closed my eyes and took a nap that I needed.
