Song of the Sirens

Jisoo wakes up early when the moon is still present, she walks down the stairs as she walks to the fridge, and helps herself. She sips on the bag of blood as she stares at the ground,

"Late snack?" She looks up seeing the older girl,

"I always get up this time, Irene." Jisoo smiles as the girl shakes her head,

"You should be getting up with the others."

"I prefer the night."

"Suit yourself." Irene smiles, "I'll be out." She grabbed her coat.

"Have fun," Jisoo says as Irene leaves the house, she lowers the bag and looks out the window seeing the moon.

"Look, mom! A full moon!"

"Tsk" Jisoo looks away and walks back up to her room.

Chapter 2: A New Moon

The morning was chaotic, Jisoo dusts herself off as she looks at herself in the mirror before a loud crash was heard.

Jennie was laying on the floor when she sees her sister reaching her hand out,

"Thanks, Unnie!" Jennie smiles as Jisoo nods, Jennie picked up the notebooks and rushes upstairs.

"Why is she in a rush?" Wendy, the short-haired girl asked.

"Probably school." Seulgi says from the couch, "She seems to enjoy it."

"She has to go to school." Irene spoke, "Jennie's the youngest out of all of us."

"She's right." Wendy says, "besides maybe Jennie will grow up like other kids."

"Who knows." Seulgi says, "Jisoo it's your turn to pick her up tomorrow."

"Okay," Jisoo says as she walks out of the house, Irene looks back at the closed door. Jisoo walks out with her umbrella to battle against the heat, the humans passed by and she could hear every single heartbeat.

She smiles as she reached her destination, she pulled the door handle and inhales the fresh book smell. She closed her umbrella and walks around the building-

The others back home were doing chores as Irene knocks on the door and opened it, she saw how Jennie was sitting at her desk.

"Is everything okay?" Irene asks as Jennie looks over,

"Unnie, can you help me?" Jennie frowns as Irene walks over and glanced at the textbook. "We're learning about vampires and well... You are the oldest so you probably know about this one!"

Irene glanced at the picture and stared at it hard, "Well...vampires can't handle garlic. We aren't allergic to the sun and we can drink blood if we need it."

"But why does it say the opposite?" Jennie asks as Irene shakes her head,

"Nobody likes us, Vampires."

"Why not?"

"It's a whole thing back then." Irene waves her hand, "Don't forget to clean your room too."

"Okay, thanks Unnie!" Irene walks out and sees Seulgi on the floor, she kicked her to see if she was still alive.

"I'm alive" Seulgi groans as Irene rolled her eyes and walks on her, "Hey!"

"Then get out of my way!"

The night crawls like the boogyman, Jisoo exits the library and walks out. She walks past the humans and takes the shortcut home, she smiled to herself before hearing a voice.

"Hey!" It was a man, "Where you think your going hot stuff?" He flirts as Jisoo stops and turns around.

"Why do you care?" Jisoo asks as the man smelled awful, almost like a wet dog.

"Listen Vamp, you should keep your pretty mouth shut."

"Try me, Dog." Jisoo challenged before the man was gonna raise his hand, Jisoo felt a chain wrapped around her as she felt it burning her skin. She cried in pain as the man punched her, she bit him before he cuts her side.

She falls to the ground as she could hear someone running, another heartbeat.

"Leave her alone!"

"Oh look who it is!" The man laughs, "it's an omega!" He smiles before getting punched in the face.

"Leave." The person threatens him as the man scoffs and turns around, as he left Jisoo looks up at the person.

It was a beautiful girl, she had blonde hair that reminded Jisoo of the books. The girl untangled Jisoo from the chains and looks at her cut,

"Are you okay?" The girl asks as Jisoo sat up, Jisoo could smell a rose scent from the girl.

"I'm fine." Jisoo says as she dusts herself off, "Thank you." She bows as the girl looks at her.

"No problem."

Jisoo stares at the girl and she could hear the girl's heartbeat become faster, she nods before leaving. Leaving her jacket in the process.

Wendy opened the door and gasped as Jisoo walks in with a smile, she pulled Jisoo in and guides her to the bathroom.

"What happened?!" Wendy exploded, "you got burned and-" Jisoo placed her finger on her lips.

"I got in a fight when walking home, they had these chains that burned and they cut me." Jisoo explained, "can you please clean it?"

"You have to be careful." Wendy says opening the cabinet and grabbing the alcohol and cotton, "These days people will hurt us with any chance they get."

"Besides, You have Jennie to worry about."
