The Girl was loyal to the kingdom, she's been with the King and Queen since the beginning. She would protect the queen at all costs due to the king's order. She helped raise the children alongside the other loyal.
"Focus...and shoot!"
The small girl lets go of the arrow, and it hits the black ring as the little girl looks up at her in disappointment.
"It's okay, practice makes perfect." She tells her as the little girl nods,
"Now go collect it."
She stayed with the Queen until the King came back from war, she was the children's bodyguard. She was trained at a very young age to defend her King and Queen. The blood, sweat, and tears poured into that Kingdom.
But- That night.
She fought alongside her king until he was struck in the chest by the arrow, she knew he wouldn't have made it due to being a human. She killed the enemy and rushed to his dying side,
"R-Rene?" He breathes out looking at her dazed.
"My King." She looks down at him.
"P-protect h-her, okay?" He asks with a slight smile on his face, he looks away from her and stares at the burning wood. She clutches her sword tightly as the kingdom was now in flames.
She looks over to see the queen crying and being comforted by the maid, she could sense what would happen as she runs over.
An arrow.
The queen was pierced with it.
Everyone could feel the heartbreak of the queen as the wave of sadness spread, everyone knew what had happened. She pushed the maid and picked up the queen as the heat was becoming unbearable, she looks around for an opening before running towards it.
Barely escaping, she runs through the woods as she stops knowing it was clear. She looks back seeing the orange glow as the castle was now in flames, it has collapsed. She looks at her queen and felt tears pour down her face.
"M-my queen." She drops to the ground and cried loudly, "I-I'm sorry."
"I couldn't protect you as promised." She sobbed into the queen's cold shoulder, "I don't know where the children are."
"I'm sorry, my queen." She sobbed, "I've failed you."
I promised to put my life first.
"I'll protect the children for you both, I'll find them and raise them- For you two."
Yet I've failed.
The Girl searched and searched for them, she made a new life. She had a job, and a house, and joined a new clan. She went hunting until seeing the group of three girls. By the smell, she knew who it was.
She persuade them to join her and the clan as she knew they'd accept, and she vowed to train all of them. Until she died peacefully.
"What's your name?" A young Jennie asks as the girl looks at the mirror, she smiles at her.
"Irene, Irene Bae."
Until given another chance.
"Irene Unnie, did you have a family?" Jisoo asks as Irene looks at her,
"I did." Irene nods, "But I wouldn't call them family."
"Then who's your family?"
"Honestly, I lost my family long ago." Irene sighs, "but I consider you all to be mine."
"Really?"
"Really."
Another chance.
Irene was sitting along with Nayeon as they watched the others practice, She watched as Jisoo fought with Jennie."She reminds me of the queen." Nayeon says as Irene agrees.
"She has the eyes of her mother." Irene says, "those gray eyes..."
"Jennie's just like her father." Nayeon says as they watched Jisoo drop Jennie to the ground, "Bad at fighting."
"Jennie is good at other stuff, just not fighting."
"Again!"
"My King, you're gonna die."
"Rene, Just let him learn his lesson." The queen would say.
