It was late at night, thundering heavily. Turns out the weather channel had misinformed everyone about the storm.

Just your luck. You were curled up in a corner of your room. Lights out and the door was shut. You had tears streaming on your face hard as you put your hands on both your ears, trying to not hear anything.

You had the good old Astraphobia. Fear of thunder and lightning. You had sensitive ears growing up so whenever storms struck it made you wince in pain.

As a kid you always hid under the bed with your blankets until your mother would come comfort you. Now that you live with just your boyfriend Mk, it's been difficult.

He doesn't exactly know since you've been scared to tell him. He had texted you that he'd be home in a few minutes since he had been training with the great sage. You hoped he could hurry since you only felt worse than before.

Another bolt struck nearby outside causing you to start sobbing and shaking hard.

"HONEYY IM HOME!!" You heard a voice yell in the living room. It was Mk. "Strawberry?"

He had given you a cheesy nickname since the first time you had a hangout with him. You ended up devouring strawberries hardcore and even spill many on your favorite outfit which caused him to laugh so hard. You didn't mind the nickname since it was adorable and it had good memories behind it.

"In here..." You said softly. You heard him close the doors before he walked upstairs, the bedroom door opened.

"Strawberry why is it so dark in here?" He glanced around, trying to adjust to the darkness until he saw you. His heart froze in fear before he immediately started asking questions as he ran towards you. He got down to your level and put his hands on your cheeks.

"What's wrong?!"

"Are you okay?!"

"Who hurt you?!"

"Did a demon show up while I was gone?!"

You shook your head, trying to answer as you kept your hands on your ears. Another lightning bolt struck outside causing you to yelp into his chest and start sobbing. You were griping his shirt hard, your behavior shocked him until it finally clicked.

"Are you afraid of thunderstorms?" He raised an eyebrow until he heard you whimper as you nodded.

"Hey..." He wrapped his arms around your back keeping you against his chest. "You're safe, I'll always protect you don't worry!"

He used one of his hands and started to rub your back delicately in a comforting manner while his other hand was on the back of your head.

A lightning bolt struck again causing you to start to whimper again.

"Shhhh...you're okay!" Mk spoke softly. He then got an idea as he glanced around the room.

"Come with me!" Mk grinned. "I have something that will help!"

Mk pulled you up and had you sit on the bed. You immediately grabbed onto the blankets and covered yourself. You were so scared and he wondered why you never told him. He searched through the drawers until he finally found what he was looking for.

Earphones.

Mk walked towards you and sat right in front of you on the bed. He then pulled out his phone and searched for songs that could help calm you down. He finally gave you the earphones as he plugged it in his phone. You looked at him weirdly before Mk chuckled.

"It'll help, trust me!" He smiled softly. You put on the earphones and all of a sudden you started to hear light and quiet songs. They were calming you down hard as you finally relaxed. You couldn't hear the loud sounds from the storms.

"Thank you..." You sighed. "This helps me a lot.."

"Anything for my strawberry!~" Mk posed as he smiled causing you to giggle.

"Why didn't you tell me about this fear of yours?" He frowned as he grabbed both of your hands and put them on the sides of his cheeks. He was looking deep into your eyes with worry.

"I-I just..." You tried to say but nothing was coming out.

"Deep breathes y/n." He stated as you did what he wanted. "It's okay, I'm here."

"I was afraid I'd be judged or ridiculed for being afraid..." You looked at him as tears started to form. "I thought I'd loose you..."

Mk was shocked to hear this until he smiled softly at you. He then pulled you into a hug, keeping you tight against his chest.

"Y/n..." He started. "Why would I ever judge you for something like this?"

"Because people have in the past..." You mumbled with a frown, looking away. Mk grabbed your chin, directing you to look at him.

"Well I'm not those people!" Mk smiled widely. "I'd rather protect my cute lover than be a total jerk!"

"Do you really mean that?." You widened your eyes.

"Every single word." He pecked your forehead. "That's why I love you so so much!"

You blushed hard at his statement, he really knew how to get to you. His words, his laugh, everything about him just makes you explode in pure delight.

"I love you too!" You smiled shyly as Mk gave you a peck on the lips. He smiled knowing you were better than earlier as he celebrated in his head. He was glad you trusted him with what you were struggling with now.

Mk smirked before he started to attack your soft spot, tickling you like crazy. You on the other hand fall backwards on the bed, laughing hard.

"MK NO!~" You yelled. "LET ME GO!"

"Nuh uh!" Mk chuckled. "I rightfully earn these adorable smiles and laughs!"

"HAVE MERCY!!" You stated trying to scramble away but you were pinned down by Mk.

"Here comes MONKIE KID!!" Mk yelled confidently diving for face, leaving little kisses everywhere.

"AH! NOOO!" You replied, giggling. "NOT MONKIE KID!"

Mk smirked before he nuzzled against your neck. He wrapped his arms around your torso, pulling you close to his chest. You could practically hear his heart beat synced with yours, it was peaceful.

"Did I ever tell you how much I love you so much?" Mk grinned as he rested himself in your neck.

"All the time but I love every ounce of it!" You giggled. "I love you though."

Mk smiled widely as he kept you close. You had one of your arms wrapped around his neck while the other was above his head, you were touching his soft hair.

"Thank you Mk." You smiled softly. "For helping me."

"Anything for my adorable boyfriend!" Mk responded, muffled in your neck causing you to chuckle.

And from there it was a peaceful night, the storm did end up quiet down but that didn't matter to you since you had Mk with you.

He comforted you and made sure you were safe. You guys ended up watching funny videos on his phone that caused major laughter which probably woke up neighbors.

Then you both had little snacks before playing video games together but then afterwards Mk requested for more cuddles with you.

You loved him and he loved you dearly.
