You had just got into a fight with Macaque.

The reasoning behind it was that he found you utterly annoying considering you were clinging onto him.You liked him and him being mad at you for just trying to connect with him.

You didn't really have a place to stay other than his dojo. So now here you are walking in the streets.

The weather was bad as well which only made it worse. It was heavily pouring. You weren't exactly wearing proper attire either so you were practically screwed. You didn't care however. You were too emotionally hurt.

After running away for so long you ended up just going on top of a tree, hugging yourself for warmth. You had your ears down, your fur was soaked so was the clothing you were wearing.

The condition of the weather was getting worse as it started to get windy. You were freezing.

"Lotus where are you?!" That voice.

"Come on, no more fun and games." It was Macaque. You didn't bother to reply.

A few minutes of silence until you saw Macaque appear in front of you on the tree.

"There you are." Macaque stated. "You need to come back, it's bad out here."

"Why should I?" You scoffed. "All you've been doing is pushing me away, trying to get me to leave. Why now is there sudden change?"

Macaque was silent. There was guilt inside of him for hurting you this way.

"Listen, it would be best if you didn't get sick from this weather." Macaque stated again as he jumped down from the tree. "Come on."

"No." You looked away as your tail flicked.

"What do you mean no?" Macaque looked pissed. "Y/n you are in no shape to disagree, your situation right now will damage you."

"Hah." You chuckled slightly. "This will damage me?"

You practically caused Macaque to go silent in confusion.

"Macaque, I don't think you realize that every single time I try to be there for you. Every single time I want to hangout with you, you make me feel alive. It gives me a purpose. Yet..." Tears were streaming down your face as you started to shake. "You keep..."

"You keep pushing me away and saying things that stick to me." You put your head down on your knees as you looked away from him. "We just fought and you act like it's normal, as if you want to never see me again.."

There was major silence as Macaque looked at you from below. He was thinking hard and long about what you said. He immediately used his shadow and went back up on the tree. He saw your position and how exhausted you looked, the tears that were falling.

"Listen..." Macaque said softly as he slowly put his hand on yours, trying to get your attention.

"I've had terrible problems with trusting people over the years. I ended up getting betrayed even to end of my life." Macaque stated softly.

"I don't know how to act normal and I was never trying to push you away. I was just-" Macaque looked away. "Scared..."

You finally looked at him in shock. You never really expected a guy like him to be scared which only made you feel bad.

"I don't plan on doing horrible things to you Macaque." You frowned at him. "That was never my intention..."

"Oh? Then what really is your motive with me?." Macaque cocked an eyebrow at your response.

"I just...wanna be with you.." You shyly smiled. "Hangout with you. Talk and just have fun."

"You're so funny and always spectacular with everything you do. Strong and brave in battle, protective of the things you adore. When you spend time with me, I feel like I'm going to explode." You were started to blush hard as you looked at your hands. "I don't think I can last a minute without you which is why... I love you..."

There was a pause until you widened your eyes realizing what you just said to him. Macaque on the other hand felt warm in his chest but was mostly shocked at the confession.

"I MEAN- WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS-" You frantically started to move your hands around, flustered and embarrassed. "UH- UHM-"

Suddenly you were caught off guard by a pair of lips on yours. You widened your eyes as you saw that it was Macaque. He had his eyes closed while one of his hands was on your cheek while the other gripped your leg. After processing, you finally kissed back, closing your eyes. You ended up wrapping your arms around the back of his neck, softly placing your hands on his hair.

The kiss became soft and delicate. It showed so much care and warmth, even protection from the world. Nothing felt real unless it was just you two together in peace.

After a while, you both ended up letting go. Macaque was smirking while you had immediately covered your face blushing.

"You are just the cutest thing~" He grinned as you scoffed.

The weather ended up getting worse so it thundered nearby causing you to yelp onto Macaque. You whimpered closing your eyes.

"Hey...it's okay I'm here!" Macaque spoke softly as he wrapped his arms around you while his tail intertwined with yours.

"It's best if we go back to the dojo and get you cleaned up." Macaque chuckled. "You're completely soaked and I don't think it would be best for you to catch a cold now."

You nodded as you hurried your head against his chest. He ended up using his shadow and sending you both back inside. You had gotten cleaned up and even took a warm shower before you changed into comfy clothing Macaque gave you.

You headed downstairs to finally see Macaque on the couch with some food. It looked like he just ordered noodles which made you go wild. You loved noodles.

He sat down as he placed the containers while you sat next to him with a blanket. You both started to eat and talk more than usual. You were happy that there was change in the bond. He told you about his past which only made you want to protect him with your life. You ended up telling him embarrassing things that you did as a kid to cheer him up which will surely spark the teasing later on.

A while had passed and you both finished eating. You went to throw away the containers into the trash before coming back. Just before you sat down, you were pulled into the couch, landing on Macaque's chest.

"Macaque-" You blushed before he silenced you with a quick kiss. Then he placed the blanket around you both while his arms wrapped your body.

"No more resistance lotus~" Macaque grinned. "I just want to...cuddle."

You widened your eyes at his soft side showing but then you smiled at him. You purred against his chest, laying softly as he played with your fur. You both were enjoying the peaceful moment.

"One more thing.." You said shyly smiling. "Are we together now?"

Macaque chuckled before he pecked your nose. "You are mine now, so yes~"

You blushed but was happy with his answer. You nuzzled against his neck as both your tails intertwined.

"I love you so much Macaque..." You said ever so quietly before drifting away to sleep.

Macaque was full on red, ready to explode from the comment. He then noticed you fell asleep immediately against him. This caused him to smile at how adorable you looked. He pecked your head before responding.

"I love you too Lotus."

"Always have and will!"
