Your boss decided to fire you for some reason.

He scolded you about not being productive and how all you did was give useless ideas when in reality you did the quite opposite.

Today was supposed to be your special day with your lover but it was ruined due to you going to work and you weren't exactly looking forward to anything right now.

You headed home realizing it was late. You ended up opening the door to see lights out as you placed down your bag. You turned around to close the door as you sighed.

"Darling~"

A voice spoke through one of your ears causing you to panic and turn back around immediately. It was too dark to see anything but one things for sure it was your lover.

"Mayor?" You questioned, squinting at the darkness.

"The one and only~" He opened his eyes causing them to glow in the dark, you could see that it was really him. He was wearing a white shirt with black sweatpants while his hair was messy in the front. It seems as though he had woken up from a nap.

"Jesus christ, I really need to get used to you coming out of nowhere." You smiled hesitantly.

"My bad~" He chuckled, walking towards you. "It's fun to see your reaction though~"

"I can tell!" You rolled your eyes at him.

"Mind telling me why you're home so late?~" Mayor leaned towards your face as you felt his cold breath. "We had plans darling~"

"Right..I..." That's right you practically almost forgot what happened. Mayor took notice of your gloomy expression indicating that something went wrong.

Before you could say anything, he dragged you into the bedroom. He sat down on the bed and had you sit beside him.

"Mayor-" You started.

"Who hurt you?" He interrupted you immediately which shocked you.

"What?" You widened your eyes. You were surprised he came to that conclusion instantly.

"Y/n, I want an explanation as to why you seem so down." He looked at you with a serious face. "I dislike that you aren't yourself right now."

You felt hurt by what you had been dealing with all day, the statements dug deep.

"Please talk to me." He placed his hand on the side of your cheek. "I'm listening y/n."

You took a deep breath before looking down, avoiding his gaze. Then you started to explain that your boss had fired you just because you were doing nothing of the ordinary.

You told him how he yelled at you in front of everyone, humiliating you when you clearly disliked peoples attention on you. It was overall uncomfortable and you could sense that Mayor was getting a ticked off at the guy.

"So yeah..that's why I came late." You sighed. "I felt like crying so I resorted to stay in the bathroom for a few hours."

Mayor stayed quiet as he took notice of how your eyes looked, completely showing hints of red and how around were a bit puffed. You were crying before you even opened the door.

He pulled you closer towards him to the point that he could embrace you against him. You widened your eyes before burring your face in his shirt, tears were coming out. 

He wrapped his arms around you and kept kissing the top of your head. After a while you stopped crying as you took deep breaths, calming yourself.

"Y/n, my precious angel." He used his index finger and directed you to look at him. "You're perfect just the way you are and that asshole didn't deserve your time nor effort."

"Really?..." You spoke softly. "But what if I did do those things and I'm in the wrong.."

Mayor frowned at the fact that you blame yourself even an ounce for another mortals attitudes.

"The only one whose in the wrong is that man who decided to fire the most intelligent and sweetest person on the planet!" He chuckled as you softly smiled.

"Thanks Mayor." You pecked him on the cheek as his eyes widened while blushing.

"Anything for my sweetheart~" He smirked at you. "Which reminds me."

"Hm?" You tilted your head at him.

"You're now all for myself now and there will be zero interrupts from here on out!" He gave you a cheeky smile.

"You know I have to find another job again for the both of us." You giggled at his joyful face.

"You won't have to considering I also work as well, you forget darling~" Mayor hummed, giving you a small kiss on the lips. "Plus I think it's time you take a break from all that!"

"Alright." You sighed as you softly smiled. "I don't mind this plan."

"Good!" He smirked. "Because I wasn't gonna let you disagree~"

Before you could respond he started to peck you all over the place, saying sweet things about you.

You felt better thanks to him and he was glad that you were still in his arms. He was definitely not gonna let you out of his sight now that you had nothing to do.

And most of all.

He's so gonna get revenge on that guy who hurt you.
