[The m!reader is a human]

You decided to take your training to the next level. And no, nobody was teaching you.

As a kid, you were disciplined in a harsh condition by your father after your mother had passed away. He didn't really let you rest nor did he allow you to have a normal childhood.

So everyday, you trained. Day and night until your body was in full sweat and you felt as though you couldn't breathe. It became a daily thing.

After a while, you adapted to it being a major routine especially once your father passed away. You were alone with the never ending idea that you should continue like this until death.

[Present Day]

You took it upon yourself to train nearby the house for the past 6 hours.

Usually you'd have breaks in between to get a breather but you didn't. You felt as though you were slacking off with your skills.

One of the little monkeys nearby noticed how you stopped and started to breathe out hard. You were looking at the ground near the waterfall.

"I must...keep going." You panted hard, gripping your chest. "I will not be a failure..."

You shook your head before you started to train even harder. The monkey frowned in worry and immediately went to go get the great sage, who would technically be considered his father figure especially to all monkeys.

You ended up going and going for another few minutes until you were stopped by the wrist, hearing voices.

"I think you've had enough for today peaches~"

"I'd have to agree for once, this is unhealthy."

You turned to look in the direction, only to see your boyfriends with uneasy expressions. It was Wukong and Macaque to the rescue.

They came into your life after you met their successor, Mk. Since then you guys became incredibly close and then started a relationship that became insane.

You squinted your eyes at them before pulling yourself out of Wukong's grip.

"I'm fine." You scoffed, looking in a different direction. "Just a few more hours and I'll go back home..."

"Oh no you don't!" Macaque appeared in front of you with a frown. "You've been like this for months with no rest."

"You need to rest Y/n." Wukong spoke softly. "We're worried."

You couldn't exactly focus on what was being said, sure your could hear but a louder voice echoed in your head. It was your dads.

"Keep going you useless piece of shit."

"No breaks until you show that you understand the hardships."

"The need for breaks is pathetic, you're pathetic."

"I'm okay-" You started to stumble as you struggled to focus. Everything started to hurt. Inside and out of your body, you felt exhausted but you knew you needed to keep going.

"Lotus?..." Macaque walked to your side. "Are you alright?"

Before you could respond you ended up collapsing on the floor infront of them, breathing heavily. This caused pure panic towards your lovers as everything went completely dark.

You jolted awake, panting as you gripped your chest. Your ears were ringing as you looked around frantically. You were in your room, in the house up on Flower Fruit Mountain that you shared with the monkeys.

"Woah woah!" Wukong put his hands on your face. "You're okay!"

You felt tails wrap around your torso as you felt Macaque rubbing your back gently. After a while, you finally regained your composure as you drank water that they gave you.

"Y/n you need to stop pushing yourself, please." Wukong begged holding your hands in front of them.

"It's damaging your health to the point that you're collapsing all over the place." Macaque frowned. "Listen to your body's needs."

You groaned at the fact that they were right. You couldn't blame them for just being truthful. It was a personal issue that you didn't know how to go around.

"Are you listening?" A hand was waved in front of you causing you to flinch back.

"Ah- what?" You widened your eyes. "What was that?"

"See, what did I tell you?" Macaque groaned at Wukong who was sighing. You frowned as you tried to get off the bed.

"Y/n, you need to lay back down-" Wukong started but you interrupted him.

"No no!" You frantically waved your hands. "I'm alright!"

"I highly doubt that." Macaque frowned.

"Honestly I'm okay!" You smiled hesitantly. "I have to do this anyway."

Your boyfriends ears perked up at the new detail. You having to train had been mandatory?.

"Oh? and who exactly said that?" Macaque cocked an eyebrow.

"My father..." You whispered, looking away. You once told them about how your father always treated you miserable since your mother had passed away.

"So then it started to become a daily habit hm?" Wukong tilted his head at you while you nodded.

"We're gonna have to change this habit of yours then." Macaque sighed before he pulled you into an embrace. "You'll train only when we say so."

"But-" You tried to protest.

"No buts!" They stated in unison as you groaned.

They ended up pulling you back on the bed with them cuddling you. You gave up trying to protest and resist the truth, you trusted them that they could help you.

"We thought we lost you..." Wukong mumbled as you softly smiled at them.

"I'm not going anywhere!" You chuckled. "Calm down."

They ended up gripping their arms around you hard as they rested against you. Your heart skipped a beat at how worried they were, it never changed. But you were glad you had them.

"I love you guys." You whispered shyly enough for them to hear, causing them to both blush. Their tails started to sway around before wrapping it around your torso, keeping you with them at all costs.

"We love you too peaches, forever and ever!"
