A dream wedding

Chapter 7

Maxie phoned Nathan on her way over to her moms house on her mobile. Nathan answered his cell phone when he saw it was Maxie - he was happy to hear from her again, hoping she would be on her way home soon. Maxie said "Nate I just wanted to let you know I'm heading over to see my mom to share our news I'll not be too long - I just left lulu and Dante's place she is going to start planning a engagement party for us soon - she was so happy for us. "
Nathan replied "ok that's great - I was thinking maybe when you get back we could go over and see my mom to tell her and Britt about our news together if you don't mind"
Maxie answered saying "of course j don't mind I guess it will be easier to face your mom with some back up and I'm sure Britt will be thrilled for us she was always telling you to keep her updated on our progress." Nathan was shocked that maxie knew about that " how did you find out about all that?" Nathan questioned Maxie over the phone. Maxie said " well Brit and Lucas work together sometimes at the hospital and I think they were comparing notes and discussing us, remember I was always filling Lucas in on our latest hurdle and obstacles we were facing If I remember correctly I was always complaining about not being able to see you, for days on end"
Nathan tried to change the mood over the phone and said " well that's all behind us now anyway we are going to be together forever we are going to be so happy Maxie I promise once we get married life will be perfect I can just imagine it now us married kids in the future us growing old getting to have grand kids but the one thing that will never change and that is my love for you. I wish I could see you right now I would kiss you. Anyway go see your mom and dad then hurry back to me. I really do love you so much. I'll see you soon." Nathan ended the call on his phone and put the phone back in his jeans pocket.

Maxie ended the call on her end and placed her phone back in her bag. Then she walked over to the house where she had grown up with mac and georgie and robin sometimes. She knocked on the door and waited for her mom or mac to answer. It was her mom that answered the door and Maxie said that she had something to tell her and could she come in. Felicia was shocked that Maxie was asking to come in when really she could of just let herself in although she didn't live there anymore she was still able to just walk into the house without knocking. Felicia expressed this to Maxie. Maxie asked if they could sit down on the couch as she had some news she wanted to share with her.
Maxie and Felicia sat down on couch and maxie said "is mac here aswell then I can tell you together"
Felicia started to worry about her daughter "what is it maxie is it something to do with your health?"
Maxie replied with "no my health is fine, don't worry it's good news" maxie asked again "so is mac here aswell so I can tell him my news?"
Felicia answered "no he had to go to the bar someone phoned in sick at the floating rib, so he had to go in for a few hours to work, if you really want to tell him then you could always go over to the floating rib to tell him when where finished here"
Maxie said "I might head down there later I told nathan I was just coming here and then he wants me to go with him to see his mom and sister" "so your news must be really important if your going over to see Britt and obrecht aswell and your here to see me" Felicia said. Maxie said " I've just come from lulu's too I'm doing the round to spread my news" Felicia wondered what she would of told lulu before telling her then she thought why don't I just ask what her news is stops me from inventing ideas of what it is in my head. Felicia said "am I going to hear your news what did you come here to see me and tell me" Maxie smiled excitedly and said to Felicia "well last night Nathan proposed to me"
Felicia asked "what did you say?" Maxie answered puzzled that Felicia would even have to ask "I said yes of course we are going to be getting married - I'm going to be getting married". Felicia said " that's great news Maxie I'm so happy for you and Nathan it's been too long since this town had a happy wedding to celebrate". Felicia lent over the sofa to hug Maxie she really was excited for her and couldn't wait to see her marry the love of her life.
