A dream wedding

Chapter 8

Maxie showed Felicia the ring then started telling Felicia how lulu was organising the engagement party for her and that it will probably be in the next couple of weeks. Felicia said " well tell lulu if she needs any help with anything then to just let me know and I'll try and help the best i can". Maxie replied by saying "I will I'll let her know your on hand to help in anyway you can". Felicia then said "you will let me know when you start going dress shopping won't you? Have you thought about who you are going to have as your maid of honour, bridesmaids or any flower girls?"
Maxie said "of course I will, I've just asked lulu to be my maid of honour but other than that I haven't really thought about who else to ask other than maybe emma as flower girl and maybe Nathan will want Britt as one of my bridesmaids she is his sister and I don't think she should be left out and I hope we will become close because she is important to Nathan and whoever is important to Nathan should also be important to me." Felicia then said "as long as you are important to him to!" Maxie said "of course I'm important to him I'm his priority and he treats me so well and I know he will never intentionally hurt me. He has never hurt me he's only ever loved me" Felicia then said "I'm glad to hear that"
Afterwards Maxie said goodbye to Felicia hugging her before she left. "I'll see you soon"she said as she left her moms house.

Maxie arrived back at her apartment to meet up with Nathan, he was all ready to go and see his mom and Britt, when Maxie walked in he was sat on the sofa watching some tv while he waited for Maxie to come home. As soon as he heard her come in the door he switched it off, Maxie sat down on the sofa next to Nathan and gave him a kiss glad to see him again after been out visiting her mom and lulu. Nathan kissed her back, "hey are you ready to face my mom? "
Maxie said "about that I know I said I'd go with you to see them and I'm excited to tell Britt but a little nervous about what your moms going to say - I don't think she was particularly thrilled when you told her we were together was she, also do you think we can call at the floating rib on the way or we could go on the way back if you really want to see your mom first it's just I haven't told Mac yet he had to go into work because someone else was sick, so he wasn't home when I went by my moms house just now"
Nathan said "don't worry Maxie no matter how my mom reacts to the news it isn't going to change how I feel about you she can't change how I feel about you anyway she might surprise us and be really happy for us. Yeah we can call on the way back to the floating rib if you want - we could call for dinner also we could invite the other people we haven't told to come over and have dinner with us at the floating rib so we can share the news with all of them. Like Lucas and Brad, Sam, Patrick, I know you already told lulu but you could still invite her and Dante so they can share in the happy news with us. Also you get to tell mac aswell while we meet up and share our great news with our friends. Why don't you get on the phone and invite them to meet us at the floating rib at about 8:00."

Maxie texted lulu to say to meet up if she wanted to later at the floating rib. Nathan texted Lucas to say do you want to meet up later at the floating rib for a beer be there for 8. Maxie then rang Patrick and told him to bring Sam and emma to the floating rib for about 8:00 I have some news to share with you - Patrick was like "can you not tell me on the phone " Maxie said "no I want to tell you when I see you later you will come won't you I'm getting lots of friends to meet me at the floating rib to share my news and we can all have dinner together afterwards" Patrick said "yes I'll try and be there and I'll bring emma and Sam I'm intrigued now by what news you have to share". After they had got in touch with their friends they got ready to go and visit leisl and Britt.

Nathan drove them over to his moms house and as he parked the car he could tell Maxie was still nervous. He lent over in the car and kissed Maxie on the cheek Nathan then said "Maxie don't worry everything is going to be ok" maxie turned he head then leant over to kiss Nathan softly and nathan then said "you ready to go in?" Maxie nodded and then said " yeah come on". They got out of the car then they came together just before getting to the front door, they held hands and Nathan knocked on the front door, it didn't take long for Britt to open the door. Britt was shocked to see them at their moms house before Britt could say anything Nathan said "hey happy new year" Britt said "happy new year to you to but what are you doing here?" Nathan said "we came to see you and Leisl well mom, we have some news we want to share with you".
