A dream wedding

Chapter 10

The taxi had arrived just at the right time it dropped the three of them off at the floating rib and said that they just needed to call later and they would come and pick them back up later to take them home.

Nathan and Maxie held hands while walking into the floating rib allowing Britt to walk in first and then they followed her in right behind her. Britt went up to the bar to order a drink while Maxie and Nathan went up to the bar to see and speak to Mac. Mac was behind the bar and after he gave Britt the drink that she ordered, and said hi to both Maxie and Nathan, Maxie asked Mac if they could speak to him in front of the bar.
Mac said "yeah sure what's up". Britt had sat herself down on one of the bar stools, as Mac walked around the bar to see Maxie and Nathan, Maxie said "we have some news we want to share with you" Mac asked "what news?" Maxie answered saying "Nathan asked me to marry him, he proposed to me last night and I said yes!!"
Mac was happy for Maxie and Nathan he hugged Maxie and shook Nathan's hand.
As he hugged Maxie mac said "congratulations, I'm so happy that you finally found your mr right your true love and soul mate" then when he shook Nathan's hand Mac said "well done for making Maxie so happy and welcome to our crazy family", Nathan said "well thank you I couldn't think of anything more important than making Maxie happy but you saying your family's crazy you have nothing on my family who really are crazy your family is sane compared to mine." Mac then said "well I think this news deserves some bubbly let me open some champagne"
Maxie said "I hope you have a few bottles back there because I've invited all our close friends here to come a little later so I can tell them our news all together although I went by lulu's earlier to tell her but she is still going to come by ; also I hope you have plenty of ribs we are going to have some hungry guests"
Mac replied "yes there's a good few bottles of bubbly back there but I'm sure some will be sticking with beer when having their ribs and about the ribs there's always plenty of ribs". Mac went back around to the bar side to open the bottle of champagne then got out four champagne glasses, he poured it into the glasses then handed one to Maxie and Nathan then to Britt and took the final glass himself. Britt and Mac chimed their glasses with Maxie's and Nathan's both saying congratulations, they then all took a sip of the champagne from their own glass.
Mac then said "what would make this celebration even better is if Robin was here to see that you have finally found someone that is worthy of you, she would be so happy for you Maxie"
Maxie replied by saying "I really miss Robin especially when we are having family celebrations but also because I know I saw her before I left for my trip a couple of years back but when I returned she was gone she had left town already, I have never been able to introduce Nathan to her I would really love it if Anna could persuade her to come home for my wedding, I would love for her to be a bridesmaid but if she didn't want to then at least she would get to see emma - I'm going to ask emma to be a flower girl when she comes by later with Patrick "
Mac said "emma will love being a part of your wedding maxie, she really loves you"
Maxie said "well I really love her too"
