A dream wedding

Chapter 12

It was the morning after the gathering at the Floating Rib where Maxie and Nathan had shared their engagement news with their closest and dearest friends, Maxie and Nathan were still in bed and it was nearly 9:30, they had been very busy celebrating their engagement news last night when they had got home and they had drunk quite a bit between them when they were at the floating rib. Nathan was the first to wake up after their morning of celebrating.

Nathan said "Maxie are you awake."

Maxie rolled over in bed and said "Nathan do you have to shout im still sleeping. Do you know how tired you have made me after the work out we were having this morning."

Nathan replied with ''I wasnt shouting i was just asking quietly if you were awake yet. No i dont but i can ware you out some more if you would like but we do have a wedding to plan and i cant wait to start. I know its usually the bride that gets all excited but I just want to make sure this is the best day of yours and our lives. I want to be able to give you the perfect wedding and I want us to be together forever and have the perfect life. "

Maxie rolled over again and Nathan kissed her gently. Nathan said "you have made me the happiest man alive by agreeing to be my wife and if we could i would marry you right now but i want to give you the special day you deserve, and a wedding that's beautiful and romantic and a marriage that will last forever, because last time you were going to marry it was all for the wrong reasons you were going to marry the loser that's name shall not be mentioned; to keep him in the country and it all turned out to be fake he was just a con man using you, wanting to join your family to steal from them. You know i cant wait to join your family but for all the right reasons. I am completely in love with you Maxie and I think that you are beautiful both inside and out and i cant wait until you become my wife and I get to hold you forever while also having good role models for parents in law."

Maxie said "Being with the loser who shall not be named was the biggest mistake of my life;bringing him home into my life here into your and my friends life was the greatest mistake, leaving on that first new years eve that i met you was also a terrible mistake - i wish i had stayed and we would of got to know each other sooner than we did and maybe we wouldnt of been held hostage. I can't wait for you to join my family they love you so much and you and Mac already get on so much. My mom just loves how great you are for me and how good you treat me. She just wants to get to know you as well she doesnt really know you that well just what i have told her about you but still in the years we have been together she has never really got to know how great you really are or for her to really see what I see and truly know and love about you. I hope that when we get married my mom gets to see and hear how much we truly mean to each other.''

Nathan said '' I can't wait to start writing my vows and declare and profess my love and committment to you in front of all our family and friends''

Maxie replied with '' Im glad your thinking ahead but lulu and i havent even planned the engagement party yet, also you havent asked anyone to be your best man yet have you? Is there anyone you been thinking about asking to be your best man and who are you wanting to be the ushers."

Nathan answered Maxie saying "I have two people in mind to be my best man but can't decide who to pick"

Maxie said "maybe if you tell me who you have in mind then I can help you pick between them"

Nathan said to Maxie "I can't decide between Dante who is like my partner and best friend at work and in life and I know that would be great for the wedding party because you have asked lulu to be your maid or matron of honour. And I know the four of us together are always going to be the greatest of friends but I was also wondering whether I should ask Patrick to be my best man because he is part of your family and you told me one time that he was basically like your brother in law because of robin and you and her being so close and more like sisters than cousins or friends"

Maxie said ''Nathan you need to pick a best man that you want not about who is important to my family, yes Patrick is a part of my family even though he isn't married to Robin any more he will always be a part of my family - Emma is a my god-daughter. You should pick the person who is there for you whenever you need them, I am here for you always you know that right. Think about who you are closer too and then make your decision. I want to help you see the points on why the person could be chosen but not pick for you it has got to be your decision. ''

Nathan said "I think I've come to a decision I'll have Dante as my best man he has been there for me these past couple of years and he was there for me in the beginning when I was trying to get rid if you know who and he found and rescued me just in time so I could stop you from marrying someone else,if he will do it and ask Patrick, Lucas and Brad to be ushers do you think they would be ok with that?"
Maxie said " I think that is the best way to go, I know we are close with Lucas, brad and Patrick but the two of us with lulu and Dante are like the bestest of friends so we should have them two by our sides when we marry each other. When are you going to ask Dante to be your best man?"
Nathan replied answering maxies question "I have to go into work for a couple of hours later so if Dante is in aswell I might ask him while I'm there"

Maxie said "can we meet up for lunch at Kelly's say 1:00, you do get a dinner break right even when you only there for a couple of hours"
Nathan said "yeah, I do that will be great so I might bring Dante along if he is in so why don't you get lulu to come along aswell and I will be able to ask Dante to be my best man at Kelly's."
Maxie said yeah I'll get in touch with lulu and have her meet me at Kelly's that way if you are to busy at work then I will still have my best friend as my lunch buddy to have my lunch with"
