A dream wedding

Chapter 6

Maxie got up out of bed and got dressed ready to go and spread the news of her and Nathan's engagement with those most important to her. She couldn't wait to tell lulu and ask her something important. Maxie decided to go and visit lulu first she was her best friend and she wanted to tell her first although she was also excited to tell her mom and mac but maybe they would already know - maybe Nathan had asked Macs permission to ask to me to marry him and he would of told my mom he wouldn't of been able to keep it secret from her.

Maxie knocked on lulu's door waiting for her to answer. Lulu opened the door surprised to see Maxie as it was January 1st and thought she would be with Nathan celebrating their anniversary still. Lulu said " what are you doing here, not that I'm not happy to see you, I'm just surprised to see you I thought you would still be with Nate celebrating. Happy new year" Maxie replied with " we were celebrating but I wanted to see my best friend and share my news with you I didn't want to keep it any longer than I had too, although I only got it last night " lulu said for Maxie to come in and as she does lulu asked what news she has to share. Lulu said " it is good news I hope!" Maxie replied with " yeah great news and happy new year to you to, is Dante here I don't want to interrupt you if your having a special family day but I do want share my news with you" lulu answered " no Dante went over to see Olivia and took Rocco with him to go see sonny aswell" . Maxie said " good anyway I'm sure he knows my news already I'm sure Nathan already shared it - what he was going to ask me with him or if he didn't then he will update him soon enough at work or you can tell him when he comes back". Lulu was still wondering what Maxie's news was going to be but was sort of thinking she had worked it out already maybe "your not pregnant are you?" Maxie said "no I'm not pregnant - not yet anyways or at least I don't think I'm pregnant. My news is I'm getting MARRIED" Maxie said excitedly. Maxie held out her hand to show lulu the ring on her finger. Lulu smiled so happy for her friend, she admired the ring on Maxie's finger then gave her a big hug "wow I'm so happy for you Maxie congratulations for you and Nate - when did he ask you was it romantic" lulu said. Maxie replied with "last night and yes it was so romantic he was so romantic he set the apartment up with roses, candles and lights then he made me breakfast in bed this morning". "I wanted to see you and tell you my news but I also wanted to ask you something important to me. Will you be my maid of honour I know I only just got engaged but I would really love it if you would be there for me the whole way through it all right up to my wedding. Will you be there to help me plan it all. I'd really appreciate your help in any way you can" Maxie asked. Lulu answered " of course I'll be your maid of honour I'm so glad you asked me I can't wait to start planning your engagement party if you don't mind we could have it on the haunted star or at the metro court if you'd prefer." Maxie said "I'll leave it up to you I don't mind where it's held I'm just glad you will be planning it. I knew I could count on you to plan a engagement party, without you I'd be a little lost on where to start. You are a great party planner" lulu said "no worries I'll not let you down ill plan the perfect engagement party for my two bestest friends in the world, I can't wait to go wedding dress shopping with you have you and Nate thought about what time of year you want to get married in? Have you discussed whether you want a fall wedding or summer or winter or spring." Maxie answered with "to be honest we haven't discussed anything with the wedding just yet we have been too busy celebrating if you know what I mean - I just had to come and share the news with you though I haven't even told my mom yet she might already know though if Nathan asked mac his permission to ask me to marry me" lulu asked "would you still have said yes even if he didn't ask macs permission?" Maxie replied with "yes of course I would it's not like he's asking mac to marry him even if he did ask mac ifs up to me to decide who I'm going to marry, it would be nice to think he would of asked his permission though because then he knows that he is accepted as a part of my family, I know his family aren't that close and he isn't very close to his mom because she didn't raise him. So it's good to know he is part of my family. And that we are going to build a life together and hopefully create a great family too one day, I think I should head over to my moms and spill the news over there too." "I'll be in touch with you soon about when you want this party and what themes you had in mind." Lulu said. Lulu hugged Maxie goodbye Im thrilled for you Maxie I'm sure Felicia will be too. "
