A dream wedding

Chapter 11

After reminiscing about robin and sharing some of the history of maxie and robin with Nathan, 8:00 soon came around quick at the floating rib with lulu and Dante turning up first. Lulu went over to Maxie and hugged her saying "hi again, you can't get enough of me can you two times in one day must be a record"
Maxie replied with "your my best friend I will never get enough of you what I mean Is I will always want to see lots of you, especially now you are going to help plan my wedding, obviously not right now. Also I need you keep stun about my news until I've told everyone else who I have invited that I didn't tell earlier, before I forget my mom said she would be on hand if you need any help planning the engagement party and Britt said she would help out aswel"
Lulu said "no worries my lips are sealed for now, but I did tell Dante when he came back I hope that's ok"
Maxie said "of course he's your husband no secrets should be kept between you and he is my other best friend, your my first best friend, Nathan is my second and Dante my third"

While Maxie and lulu had been talking and catching up - Dante had gone over to Nathan to shake his hand and wish him congratulations. Dante said "so you finally got around to asking her to marry you that's great congratulations, it was about time Maxie got to be happy again."
Nathan said "I knew that I wanted to marry her the moment I met her, she was so beautiful and bubbly - I just had to get to know her first and what I got to know and know now is Maxie is pretty perfect and she is perfect for me".
Dante said "that's great news and I'm sure your pretty perfect for Maxie too"

As Dante and Nathan were talking Maxie and lulu walked over to join them - Dante hugged Maxie saying "congratulations on your news", while lulu hugged Nathan saying "well done for asking Maxie to marry you and congratulations on her saying yes".

After both lulu and Dante had hugged them, Nathan and Maxie stood next to each other and Nathan wrapped his arm around Maxie ready to welcome more of their friends when they arrive. Lulu and Dante walked over to the bar and said hi to Britt and Mac, then Mac said "what can I get you to drink?"
Dante said "I'll have a beer, lu what do you want?" Lulu answered "vodka and coke please". Mac started to make their drinks and he placed them on then bar - he then asked "are you having a glass of champagne aswell"
Dante said "lulu will probably but I'll just stick to the beer - how much do I owe you" Mac said "$4:50 but the champagne on the house" Mac got some more champagne glasses out and poured lulu a glass of champagne.

While Dante was getting their drinks, lulu stood and chatted with Britt then asked her to come and join their table. As the three of them sat down Maxie and Nathan welcomed brad and Lucas who had just arrived. Maxie said "I'm glad you could come it's been ages since we last saw you" Lucas said "I know I've been so busy at the hospital so it's great to have a night off and to come and spend it with my favourite cousin, are we just hanging out or is there a reason you are gathering us here" Nathan spoke "Yes there is a reason why we are getting people here but you will just have to wait a little longer to find out why until we share our news, until Sam,Patrick and emma get here" Brad said "I'll go get the drinks in what you having?" Lucas replied with "just a beer thanks".

While Brad was at the bar, Emma came running into the floating rib, as Sam and Patrick walked in right behind her. Sam and Patrick went up to Maxie and Nathan while emma went over to the bar to see her uncle Mac, she climbed onto one of the bar stools. Mac said "hey emma what do you want to drink? A lemonade or do you want me to make you a fruity cocktail." Emma answered saying "can I have one of your special fruit cocktails please" Mac said "sure one special fruit cocktail coming right up for one miss Emma Scorpio drake." Mac then asked Brad what he wanted, Brad answered "just two beers please, Mac; that's $4 right" Mac said "yes".

Over by Maxie and Nathan was Sam and Patrick catching up Maxie said " I'm glad you two could come and brought emma aswell now that you two are here we can get to share our news with everyone who doesn't know" Patrick and Sam both said that they were intrigued to find out what news they had to share. Patrick then said to Sam "what do you want to drink" Sam answered "A rum and coke please". While Sam and Maxie talked Nathan went over to the bar to get Mac to start on the ribs and sides. Once everyone had a drink everyone and everyone was sat down at the table Nathan and Maxie said that they had some news that they wanted to share with them all. Maxie and Nathan were stood up while everyone else was seated. Maxie said " well we wanted to gather you all together because you are all so important to us and I just wanted to let you know that Nathan and me are getting married, he asked me last night and I wanted to share my happy news with you all together". Nathan said " Maxie made me the happiest man alive when she said yes to my proposal and Maxie wants to ask emma something aswel" Maxie said " yes emma will you be my flower girl and bridesmaid for my wedding, you mean so much to me and your mum and me are like sisters and I know she would love it of you were my flower girl on my wedding day" Emma said "really yes of course I would love to be your flower girl, I love you so much aunt maxie and I can't wait till Nathan is going to be my uncle aswel"

Everyone who had just found out about their engagement news came over to say congratulations and hugged maxie and Nathan in turn. Then Mac came out and handed out glasses of champagne for those who didn't have any. Mac then said "who is hungry and ready for some ribs" everyone cheered and mac and his wait staff brought out lots of ribs, mac and cheeks and all the other sides that they usually had with their ribs like corn.
