The boys' weekend consisted of bringing their equipment back to Reed's garage, fooling around with some music, friendly bickering, and throwing stuff at each other. It was a good weekend full of brotherly love and arguing. The three younger boys decided to skip a few days of school. Walker didn't have to work, so they all hung around his place doing random stuff.

Elliot appreciated his friends distracting him. They reminded him to check in with his mom everyday, but other than that, they helped him take his mind off of her absence.

However, everything came crashing down when  they had to stop being lazy and go back to their daily responsibilities.

"School is the worst!" Elliot exclaimed from his place on Walker's couch, not appreciating waking up early to go to the one place he hated on the earth: school.

"Get up and get ready. Calvin and Reed will be here in like fifteen minutes," Elliot groaned, but rolled off the couch nonetheless.

Just as Walker had said, Elliot got a text fifteen minutes later, saying that his two friends were outside waiting for him. Shoving his toast into his mouth, he grabbed his bag and headed outside the building. "Bye, Walk!"

"Bye, Elliot!" Walker yelled in reply. "Don't get expelled!"

"Don't get fired!" Elliot yelled back from the apartment building's staircase, unaware of the curious ear of his history teacher four apartments down.

Stepping out of Calvin's car, Elliot caught the second Redbull Calvin threw his way. "A second one?" Reed questioned with a smirk. "You're going to make him fall asleep,"

"Ha ha," Elliot said sarcastically. "One makes me normal, two makes me focus, three makes me productive, and four makes me take a nap. A fifth would probably kill me, but I fail to see a downside,"
