Elliot had decide that he would ask Klaus instead of Stefan. The younger vampire had become brooding and depressing ever since they left Mystic Falls.

The teenager had run out of his medication. He knew it was inevitable, but he hoped that they would have lasted longer.

After grabbing the entire pot of coffee in the hotel lobby, he went in search of Klaus' room. It was around ten in the morning when he knocked on the hybrid's door repeatedly.

Klaus opened the door quickly, ready to tell off whoever was repeatedly knocking. He stopped himself when he saw the tall teenager in front of him. "Are you drinking straight from the coffee pot?" He asked incredulously. The first thing Klaus noticed was Elliot's lack of cup.

Elliot finished downing the pot of coffee before replying. "I ran out of my meds. Been living off coffee and Redbull the past two days, but it's getting bad,"

"How so?" The hybrid asked, grabbing his jacket and his keys.

"My impulsivity has gotten worse," Elliot explained. "I launched my drumsticks into my wall and I got really mad when I couldn't get them out," Klaus raised his eyebrows at the boy in question. "The same thing happened a few months ago. Walker was with me and we ended up sticking cheese slices all over the wall of Reed's garage," Elliot hadn't even noticed that Klaus had led the boy outside to his car. "Where are you going?"

"We are going to get you more medication," Klaus simply replied. "Do you know what the prescription is?"

"Uh, I think so," Elliot told Klaus, quickly fastening his seatbelt.

It was a simple thing to do; running a quick errand for necessities. However, to Elliot it meant a lot. Klaus could have very easily compelled someone to go get what he needed. In fact, he could have just as easily ignored Elliot's struggle and made the boy deal with it on his own. Instead, the hybrid showed no hesitation as he grabbed his keys and escorted the boy to refill his medication.

It was a small act, but it changed Elliot's perspective, and he was suddenly thankful that he approached Klaus and not Stefan.

It had been about three weeks since they left Mystic Falls. They had been moving around Florida looking for someone, but Elliot hadn't been told who. His biggest achievement of the week was getting the drumsticks out of the hotel room wall. Klaus had to compel the hotel not to charge them for that one.

Not wanting to damage his room, Elliot decided to roam the lobby instead. Klaus found him sitting on a chair, entranced with a Newton's cradle. The hybrid smiled lightly as the teen watched the pendulums swing back and forth. "How long have you been sitting here for?"
