“Huwag! Pakiusap, ‘wag mo a-ako saktan!” Tanging iyak ni Valouise nang maramdaman ang hawak ng lalaki sa kaniyang leeg.
Nabalot na ng sobrang takot si Valouise at randam n'ya ang pagkaubos ng lakas n'ya. Bago pa man sumuko ang buong sistema ni Valouise, ang kanina pa n'ya hinihiling, ang kanina pa n'ya tinatawag sa isip n'ya para dumating ay nagbigay ng liwanag sa kabuuan ng silid at s'ya ring unang nakita ni Valouise. Isang malamlam na ngiti ang tugon ng dalaga habang tinititigan ang d'yos.
“Bylur...” She exclaimed before she passed out.
Following Bylur, Mithran and Aratiri came. Ipinaubaya na ni Bylur ang pagdakip kay Donovan sa mga kaibigan at agad s'yang umalis karga-karga si Valouise. Inis ang nararamdaman ni Bylur sa mga oras na iyon.
“I warned you. You didn't listen and put yourself in danger, woman.” Bylur whispered to Valouise who passed out.
Inuwi ni Bylur ito sa bahay n'ya at agad nilagay sa kama. Bylur took a basin with cold water and a towel. He immediately gave her first aid. Heraised her leg to elevate her blood flow and when he felt Valouise was hot— she was having a high fever, he puts the soaked towel on her forehead, and when he was about to stood up to get some medicine, Valouise woke up and held his wrist.
“Valouise!” Bylur exclaimed and went back to sat down in the bed, near Valouise.
“How do you feel right now?” Bylur asked her as he held her cold hand.
“I— I was kidnapped and h-he wanted t-to kill me. I don't want to die yet!” Valouise said, panting and her tears slowly fell from her eyes again.
Bylur wiped her tears with his thumb and caressed her cheek.
“You are fine now. Don't worry! We got him. Hindi ka na niya malalapitan.” Bulong ni Valouise at dahan-dahan na napapikit.
“I-I’m sorry…” she whispered and fell asleep. Bylur sighed and put the blanket on her.
He called Terra to dress her up as her clothes were wet and dirty.

It was already ten o'clock at night when Valouise woke up. She slowly opened her eyes and adjust to the brightness of her surroundings. When she completely opened her eyes, she found Bylur was sleeping in her side, sitting in the floor with his head in the bed.
She felt sorry. She threw the thing he gave her, she felt sorry for treating him as a threat, she said awful words to him yet he chose to save her.
Bylur moved and woke up.
“Valouise!” He exclaimed as soon as he saw her awake.
“Are you okay? Do you need anything?” He immediately stood up and checked on her.
“I’m fine, Mr. Eisenhower! Salamat!” Sagot naman ni Valouise at sinubukang umupo nito sa kama. Agad naman siyang tinulungan ni Bylur.
“Wait, I'll get you water.” Bylur hissed but Valouise held his wrist to stop him.
“It’s fine. Huwag na, ayos lang ako.” Saad ni Valouise.
“But you’re hot. I m-mean— y-your temperature.” Bylur stuttered making Valouise chuckle.
“Alam ko pero ayos lang. Huwag na.” Sagot ni Valouise.
Umupo si Bylur sa kama, nakaharap kay Valouise. Worry is visible in his eyes, drawn in his full gorgeous face.
“I— I'm sorry. I threw the thing you gave me.” She apologized with her voice fading in embarrassment. Bylur started at her and sigh. He took something from his pocket.
“I understand. Baka nagduda ka at sa tingin mo sasaktan kita kaya mo tinapon.” Sambit ni Bylur at nilabas ang isang pamilyar na bagay.
It was the jewelry box he gave her. Valouise was shocked seeing the same thing after she threw it away. He took the ring from the jewelry box.
“Bakit na sa—”
“What's mine will come back to me no matter what.” He whispered and those words hit different for Valouise. It was different… She feels like there is a meaning behind his words.
Bylur leaned closer to her. He held her hand. Valouise was stunned and froze in her sit.
His touch is so warm, soft and tender. The way he held her hand feels surreal and magical. It is comfortable. Valouise felt her heartbeat raise when Bylur slid the ring in her middle finger.
Hindi kaagad binitawan ni Bylur ang kamay ni Valouise kaya mas nakarandam siya ng kaba at tensyon.
“Don't take this off, okay? This will keep you safe. Just touch the stone, and you'll be able to call me.” Bylur muttered and let go of her hand. He showed his own ring.
“Touch the stone.” Utos ni Bylur kay Valouise na ginawa naman n'ya agad. She touched the stone of the ring and her jaw dropped. Gulat at mangha ang naramdaman ni Valouise nang makita n'yang lumiwanag ang singsing na suot ni Bylur.
“That's how it works. You'll be safe if you'll keep this gift.” Bylur said and Valouise nodded.
“Parang nakabluetooth lang.” Sambit ni Valouise na manghang-mangha at napangisi si Bylur.
“Parang ganoon nga.”
“Call me whenever you want. I'll be there.” Bylur whispered while he stares at Valouise intently as sincerity and adore shines in his eyes.
Valouise stared at him, straight to his eyes. Valouise felt butterflies and electricity running through her vines as he held her hand once again and he keeps coming closer and closer to her. His face near hers. Lips almost touching hers. She was just waiting— waiting for his lips to land on hers.
Bylur stood up in a swift when someone knocked on the door. He awkwardly cleared his throat and opened the door.
“Ayos na ba siya?” Rinig ni Valouise na tanong ng isang lalaki. Pinatuloy ito ni Bylur. Si Colden.
“Ms. Hermosa! Ayos ka na ba?” tanong ni Colden kay Valouise at tumango lamang siya. Valouise looked at Bylur and he did look at her too but he immediately averted his gaze.
Nahiya na rin si Valouise at hindi na ulit makatingin sa lalaki. Nag-usap si Colden at Valouise habang si Bylur ay nakatayo lamang malapit sa pintuan at patuloy na iniiwasan ang tinginan nila.
“Ikaw, bro? Ayos ka lang?” Biglaang tanong ni Colden kay Bylur na nag gulat dito.
“H-Ha? Ah, oo. Oo, ayos lang. Bakit?” Bylur stuttered making Valouise clandestinely smile.
He looked so adorable when he's nervous. You can't imagine a cute side from his manly features. He looks so tough and hot, he's too masculine and she didn't expect her to be that cute when he's nervous.
“Ms. Hermosa, makinig ka kay Bylur. Siya lang makakatulong agad sa'yo kung kailangan mo. Except that he's one of the strongest, he's also very responsive in any emergency.” Sambit ni Colden at tumayo na, handa ng umalis.
“Isa pa pala.” Napatingin si Bylur sa kanila. Lumapit si Colden kay Valouise at may sinabi rito.
“Sige, aalis na ako. It looks like your fine now. May date pa ako.” Sambit nito at lumakad palapit kay Bylur.
May pilyong ngiti si Colden at tinapik ang balikat ni Bylur.
“Huwag ka masyadong halata.” bulong nito at pilyong tumawa bago lumabas ng kwarto.
Tumingin si Bylur kay Valouise at siya ring pag tingin nito, agad naman silang nag-iwas ng tingin at ramdam ang ilang nila sa isa't isa.
