'So this is the Snape residence?' She questioned

'Prince actually. Mother changed her name back after my father died.' Severus told her as they approached.

'Im sorry. I didnt know.' Lula said

'I dont talk about him. He was a cruel man. Your father used words today. Mine liked his fists.' Severus told her.

'Oh sevy-'

'Its been a long time. Im okay. Mum and i are better without him. But the beating caught up with her. She has a nurse thats constantly monitoring her.' Severus told her as she pushed open the door. 'Come on. I'll introduce you.' She wasn't lucid as they came in.

'Hello Mum,' severus said putting down his bag on the ground before walking over to her at the window.

'Oh, hello.' She said looking at her son before looking to lula. 'Whats wrong child?' she asked seeing the tears on lula's face.

'Mum this is my friend Lula.' Severus went on.

'Its nice to meet you.' Lula said taking a step forward and the woman smiled at her.

'Are you going to give me my medicine?' she questioned.

'No mum, lula's not a doctor, shes my friend.' Severus told her.

'Mum?' she questioned. 'I don't have children. Youre not a doctor? Who are you? What are you doing here?' quickly she got very agitated and aggressive but she was a little spit of a thing. She slapped severus away he fell back scraping his arm.

'I am a healer.' Lula said stepping forwards hands raised to show she meant no harm. 'can I fix that bump?' she nodded to Miss Princes bandage on her arm. 'how did you get that?' lula questioned slowly pulling back the bandage, clearly she didn't have magical caretakers, this was easy enough to fix.

'I fell, I think.' She said softly.

'Ive patched up Severus quite a few times,' lula said waving a hand over the cut, healing it.

'Wow, you're a wizard.' She said happily examining her arm. 'Thank you my dear, I like you.'

'I like you too...' she looked to severus sitting on the ground his arm bleeding from the fall, scraping against the table, sharp edges, whoever thought this was a good idea to have in a house with a woman that wasn't lucid and constantly falling was an idiot. Lula got her wand and baby proofed the room quickly, less things for Miss Prince to hurt herself on, for severus to hurt himself on.

'Where are you going?' she questioned lula as she helped Severus up.

'Severus needs a healer too.' Lula told her. 'don't worry, we will come back.' She nodded satisfied and went back to looking out the window. 'youre mom seems nice.' Lula said as she fixed up severus. He hugged her. she wrapped her arms around him. 'Why didn't you ever tell me?' she questioned still holding onto him. 'We are family, you could have told me.' she whispered into his ear.

'I didn't want... I... your life just seemed so grand. I thought... I thought that maybe if you saw how messed up mine was-'

'Severus.' Lula said pulling back. 'you think that little of me?'

'No, of course not. I think the world of you. But it was easier to pretend at first and then I had been lying already... it seemed easier to lie then hurt you with the truth.' Severus told her.

'Sevy,'

'I knew, I knew you wouldn't care that my family was screwed up but no one had treated me like you had. People that kenw me my whole life... but you. Lula you took me in and gave me a family having just met me.' severus reminded her. 'you showed me more kindness and love than I had ever experienced before. I didn't want to lose you over my screwed up family.'

'maybe you haven't been spending time with the right kind of people then. You are hurting severus, you didn't need to go through that alone.'

'I didn't feel alone once I met you and Lucius. I felt like I belonged. ' severus told her.

'you do belong.' She pressed a kiss to his forehead. 'and in case you hadn't noticed, my family is the most fucked up of them all.'

'I want you to stay. Let me take care of you for once.' Severus told her.
