Yet she ran to him

Lula tried to get up but her feet were wobbly. She took a shaky breath as the man from across the room appeared at her side, steadying her. but she stumbled back, the man in front of her scared her.

'Lula-' he said softly and it sounded like her tom but the man in front of her... white skin, bald head and dark eyes watching her. long thin, fingers reaching out to her but she stumbled back into Severus he kept a hand on her waist keeping her upright.

'Whats going on?' she questioned her eyes watering, as the man took a step back turning away from her.

'Lula it is me... Tom.' He said from the door.

'What?' she rasped, her throat dry and her stomach demanding food but also doing flips from confusion and nerves.

'Tom Riddle.' He told her spinning back around to her but she sucked in a breathe and aparated away. her heart and her head screaming at her two completely different things but they could agree on one thing. Run. She didn't make it far, apparently she hadn't aparated in 14 years and she only made it outside the manor before collapsing to her knees, vomiting up bile.

'Lula lula lula' severus said running up behind her, he helped her up.

'Severus i just, i just, i cant breathe.' she told him and he held her up, as she collapsed into him. 'I just dont i just- severus...' she sobbed. 'I don't understand.'

'I know this is a lot to take in. I know. Im sorry. But im here for you. Im right here.' He told her. Her sad confused eyes looked up to him. He pressed a long soft kiss to her head. He wrapped his arms around her pulling her into him.

'I used to do that to you' she whispered into his chest. 'Kiss your head, you and luci. Kiss it better,' she whispered.

'Did it work?' He asked resting his chin on the top of her head.

'Yeah. Little bit,' she confirmed. She saw Lucius and the man claiming to be Tom coming outside, rushing to her. 'get me out of here severus.' She pleaded.

'Come on. Youve had a rough day'. Severus told her wrapping an arm around her and pulling her into him. 'you should rest.'

'I dont want to go home severus' she told him

'No in didnt think you would' he told her. 'But I don't think that's-' he began.

'If you care about me at all you will get me the bloody hell away from here!" she demanded.

'I have another place in mind.' He cradled her head into him as he aparated them into his room within hogwarts. She had always told him that he could get around the no aparation barrier set around hogwarts. Her and tom had done it all the time. Lucius hand grasped for his sister as Severus disappeared.

'Where is she? Where did he take her?' Voldemort screamed at Lucius.

'Don't worry Snape wont let anything happen to her. she just needs time to adjust.' Lucius told him.

'She can adjust here, with me!" Voldemort told him.

'She is scared. You don't look like yourself.' Lucius reminded him.

'You don't look like the boy she remembers either.' Voldemort snapped.

'Snape will take care of her, keep her safe.' Lucius assured him.

'That's what I'm worried about.' He muttered heading back inside. 'That man has loved Lula since he was a child.' Voldemort reminded Lucius.

'She loves you.' Lucius reminded him. 'she has always loved you.'

'Yet she ran to him.'
