"Mh-Mhhh" I moan, the hand pressing the right spots up and down my back is making me go demented.
I somehow find myself at a spa and the masseuse has the hands of a God. I am thrilled about the dinner night with Loid today but something very dubious crawls at the back of my mind. This whole dinner with Loid plus my father seems a bit off. Mayhaps I am overthinking too much. Maybe it means a small gesture, to make the daughter happy and gain the father's approval. Whatever goes on inside a man's mind.

"Thank you so much, please do visit again," says the receptionist.
Oh, I surely will.
I sit in my car and drive home, getting ready for the big night ahead. Kind of nerve-wracking but I'd lie if I say meeting Loid does not excite me.
As I reach home, I messily throw my coat around the couch, my boots on the floor, my purse across the table, and hop into the hot shower. I dance scrubbing the oil off me, lathering my hair with shampoo. Almost as if I am making an effort. Just for him.
I turn the shower off, drying myself as I pick out a formal dress and do my make-up and hair accordingly. I grab a tiny handbag to keep my money and phone in as I walk out into the garage. I pick a car to drive as I put in the address driving myself there humming to the random song on the radio.
On reaching there, I get out of the car making my way to the receptionist.
"Good evening, do you have a reservation?" the receptionist asks me.
"Yeah it's under Mr. Loid Forger"
"Yes, please follow me"
As I follow her to my designated table I couldn't help but notice my surroundings. Rich businessmen, politicians, army commander chiefs, all the ones with big names with a lot of money on their heads are seated. Finally, we reach our table, Loid is the only one sitting there. He keeps glancing around as if his eyes are trying to catch something. His eyes slightly widen as I arrive at the table. Have I impressed him?
"You-you look beautiful Y/n" he stutters.
"Likewise Loid" I smile at him "Has my father not arrived yet?" I ask
"No, I mean we are five minutes before time so"
He was right. My father was not one to play around. He was a punctual man with morals and principles. Something he instilled I never had. Although I beg to differ, considering I was made out of the same raging blood as him.
Just as I was about to say something, a tower looms over us. My father is here. He looks down at me, analyzing me, probably finding a mistake on me to pick on.
"Nice to know to clean up well daughter" he mocks. I sit still, nothing comes out even if I want to retaliate.
Loid senses the awkward stiff nature and hampers in.
"Good evening Mr. L/n, thank you so much for coming"
"Pleasure is all mine Mr. Forger"
The waitress comes as we order food and drinks.
"So Mr. Forger, is there any special occasion that you called me for dinner?"
"Well considering you are technically my boss and I am acquainted with your daughter, I was hoping to make a good expression and a peaceful relationship between all of us"
"Do you take a liking to my daughter?"
I stiffen. Part of me does not want to hear a word, part of me is already dancing.
