"You should get that dress Y/n, it'll match with my tuxedo"

I somehow ended up shopping for this wedding me and Hatake were invited too. The couple that was getting married has a quite a love story actually. Almost enough to make me believe in love again. The bride is a friend of mine and the groom is a friend of Hatake's. They started simple. First, they fought, then loved, then fought again and now they are getting married.

The type of love to make to jealous and barf at the same time.

"Please pack this up for me" I tell the helper.

I just stare at myself in the mirror. Analyzing and observing myself, I never considered myself a beauty but at the same time, there was nothing I was insecure off. I accepted myself the way I was made, which made me wonder about those who didn't.

A pair of arms wrap around my waist and a chin settles on my shoulder.

"You are very beautiful Y/n" Hatake states, running his nose along my neck, taking a long whiff in. I turn around and look into his eyes with a serious look.

"What's wrong my love?"

"I am pregnant Hatake"

He stares at me with wide eyes and his mouth agape, I watch all the colors on his face drain. He looks like he's about to puke.

"H-how are you pr-pregnant? Wait you-you're pregnant?"

I stare at him for a few seconds before I burst into laughter.

"Oh my dear God, you should've seen the look on your face. I-I can't breathe wait"

I say leaning against the mirror, laughing obnoxiously loud as I clutch onto my stomach with my other hand on his shoulder.

"Jesus Christ Y/n, don't joke about things like that, I can't imagine you gloated in our wedding photos," Hatake says sighing with relief.

"You aren't pregnant right?"

"No Hatake I am not pregnant," I say laughing loudly again.

He mumbles something under his breath, as he lightly jabs my side. He grabs my hand as he leads us out of the shop, his hand on my waist slightly rubbing the area he jabbed a few minutes ago.

"Want to head over to my place? There is something I need to discuss with you, well more like confess really"

"Oh no Hatake, this can't be good, what did you do now?"

He places a hand over his chest acting hurt because of my words. "Why do you think so low of me baby? But anyway let's go on"

-

As we reach Hatake's house, I walk into his room leaving a trail of my shoes and belongings on his floor. I get seated and comfortable on his bed as he walks in throwing his coat on the floor and lifting his sleeves to his elbows.

"Okay Y/n, now listen to me carefully and please let me finish talking completely before you interrupt or worse bolt out of here okay?"

I sat up on his bed, a little intimidated by his serious approach.

"Okay I understand, now go ahead"

"Do you remember the red parcels you keep receiving in your office, that you must go deliver yourself to the shipping office? Well, they are sent by me and my team because it's top-secret and confidential. They consist of documents and tapes and pictures of very high-seated, powerful people who work as agents and spies in our country. Now listen, I am telling you this for your safety. I am so so sorry to get you involved in this mess Y/n, I am, but there was no other way, your company was the only way to get these past the foreign police check since you and your company authorize it, so please be aware and on the lookout, always. You can speak now Y/n"

I stare at Hatake. That's all I do. That's all I can do. I feel so betrayed and stupid and used. All of this has been happening right under my nose and eyes this whole time and I had no clue.

"Sometimes people die Y/n, but it's all for the sake of our country"

"Oh yeah, died or killed Hatake" I spit out.

"Oh my God," I say as I get off the bed and jolt towards the door, picking up my belongings and shoes.

"Y/n please wait, hear me out"

I sit on his couch wearing my shoes, "You liar! you lied to me for these many years and now you tell me the truth. Now?"

"It was for your own safety Y/n, I was not supposed to say a word to you, but please try to understand it was for your safety"

"Whatever Hatake, you and my father are both the same. Both traitors and liars. I expected nothing from that old man and I understand that the things we had between us were not exactly very truthful, to begin with, but I never thought you'd fall so low"

"It was for your own safety Y/n. I know your father wasn't going to protect you, so I took matters into my own hands"

"You worked with my father this whole time. Oh my God, why didn't I see this beforehand, of course, you both work together, that explains why they've been forcing us to get married and them trying to take over my company? You both are the same"

"Have to thought about getting married?"

"No Hatake! I have not, that's the last thing on my mind right now. And please for my sake let's drop the marriage act for some time"

"I am leaving. I am going home, I will see you at the wedding reception. Goodbye Hatake" With that I make my way out his door.

-

Hatake

I am waiting outside for you.

I scoff at his message, putting my phone away as I walk out the door towards his car.

"You look beautiful Y/n"

I ignore his looking out the window, hoping he'll take the hint. I hear him sigh as he drives us to the wedding destination.

On reaching there I couldn't help but stare in awe. The entire church ground decorated in baby pink and white flowers with golden decorations looks breathtaking. I wait for Hatake to come to my side before walking in. On entering the church I couldn't help but notice big shots and rich, powerful men and their wives all gathering. I expected no less from the powerful wedding couples, considering their names and influence on the commons.

Hatake gets included in conversations as I just stand around looking at people and flowers and getting bored.

I soon spot a large three-decked cake as I walk towards it. That is going to taste good.

Suddenly a huge body rams into me.

"I am so sorry Miss, I didn't see you there"

I freeze, recognizing that voice all too well.

"Loid?"
