Meeting Steve Harrington (X Reader)

We stand around, explaining the Russians, the weapon we saw and their underground base. "Its been pretty crazy" Steve folds his arms after finishing up. "Max can I talk to you" I whisper and the two of us walk away, leaving everyone to discuss what to do next.

"Whats happening with Billy" I look down at her "its not good y/n" she shakes her head "he's being controlled, something is inside him and its not looking good" I let out a sigh "can we get him back, he's a dick but I want my brother back" she nods "we will get him back, we've got a plan" I give her another hug "So... Steve" she raises an eyebrow at me "Shut up" I push her and make our way back to the group.

"You're coming with us" Steve grabs my hand "what, what now" I groan and follow him "Be good Max!" I shout as I follow him out. 

We start driving away from the mall and to the point Dustin needs to be able to navigate everyone.

"Jesus how far is this place man?" Steve asks as we drive down a long road "Relax we're almost there" Dustin rolls his eyes. "So, Suzie is pretty special to you huh?" I turn back and talk to Dustin , "I mean nobody is scientifically perfect,  but susses about as close to perfect as a human can be" A smile grows across his face.

"She sounds made up to me, she sound made up to you?" Erica points over at Steve causing me to giggle slightly. "why are you hesitating Steve!!" Dustin shouts as Steve stays quiet "Im- im- im not im not I swear!" Steve quickly answers. "she sounds totally real" he groans.

"Take a left here!!!" Steve grabs the wheel and takes a sharp turn onto the grass and up a hill. "Woah Where are we going" I shout as I grip onto my seat. "up! keep going! Dustin shouts at Steve who is trying his best to get us there. "We're not gunna make it" I shout "Yes we are, come on baby come on baby!!" Steve shouts but despite his efforts the car gets stuck and we come to a stop.

"That was kinda hot" I turn to Steve "Thanks" he smiles pushing his hair from his face "you two are gross" Erica frowns at us and gets out the car. 

We make our way to the top of the hill where Dustin starts to communicate with everyone finally... "Do you copy! Do you copy!!" Dustin screams down the radio, as we all realise we are in trouble.

"Is something going on?" I ask, unaware of what's truly happening. "Yea this isn't good" Steve grabs my hand and we run down the hill "where are you going!!" Dustin shouts "We need to get them the hell out of there!" I follow Steve back down to the car, hopping in and making our way back.

"Is that them, wait is that Nancy!" I point out as we arrive, to a car speeding towards our friends who are trying to escape. "Shit, hold on tight" Steve turns the car up a gear, we start flying full speed towards the side of the car that is heading to our friends. "Shit Steve!" I shout as we get closer.

Seconds later our car smashes full force into the side of the other, spinning out of control and all windows smashing into pieces. "shit" I sit trying to catch my breath "Are you okay???" Steve turns and asks "Yea, im good" I nod and get out the car. 

"Who the hell- no, is that? Billy? Billy!!" I scream and start running towards his now on fire car. "Billy!!" I cry out "Y/n no!!" Steve runs, grabbing hold of my waist and pulling me back as a creature snarls and appears above the mall.

"Get in the car!" Nancy shouts at us "No, Billy, please Steve we have to help him" I turn in floods of tears "We will but not now" He pushes me into the car, giving me no choice. "Billy!!" I scream out as we drive away from the creature that follows.

"Flay this you ugly piece of shit!" Lucas shouts as we all stand above the creature in the mall, throwing fire works at it. I stand frozen, looking down at my Twin.

"I cant be up here" I mumble "what?" Steve turns. "Billy!" I scream before running down the stairs and towards him. "Shit, hey asshole, over here!!" Steve shouts in the distance, continuing to throw fireworks at the beast.

"Billy! Billy!" I cry out as I watch him groan in pain. "Stop it please! Stop!" I scream at everyone but they continue. "El!!" I watch as Billy starts to grab hold of her. "Billy no! No!" I run over "Y/n don't!!" Jonathan shouts down at me but my world falls into slow motion. I run dodging fire works, flames, this creature. "El!" I shout out, I finally reach the two but Billy turns, using one arm and his powers, throwing me back with all his might into a wall away from them.

My back smashing against it, leaving me in instant agony. I cry out in pain, looking up watching my brother be this monster, but I know this isn't him, this isn't Billy...

For a moment, a brief moment I watch as he switches, a tear rolling down his cheek. "Billy?" I call out, using all my strength I stand up and start walking over as he releases El, and faces the monster. 

"Billy... Billy?" I step closer and closer, unsure of what's going to happen. The creature lunges for El, but Billy steps in the way, fighting it back. 

I watch as it stabs him, destroys his body, blood pooling on the ground beneath him. "No!!! Billy!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs, running full speed towards him crying out for my brother, my twin, my family.

He lets out a final scream as the creature stabs him, straight in the chest, killing him. "No!!!" I scream, Steve running up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me back as I kick and scream for my brother. "Get off me let me go!!" I hit him as hard as I can but he doesn't loosen up. 

The monster starts to fall around, stumbling everywhere, eventually falling to the ground and dying beside my brother. "Get off me Steve!" I scream, he lets go allowing me to run to my brother.

"No no no, no, Billy come on wake up, wake up!" I hold his head in my lap as blood pours out. "Billy please get up please", "Im-im sorry" he gurgles at me before taking his final breath "Billy no, Billy" I sob over his body as Max comes running in, being stopped by Lucas.

"Im sorry, im so sorry" Steve crouches down next to me as I sob uncontrollably over my brother. 

*3 months later*

I lay in bed as I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" I groan as I sit up but a smile soon appears on my face once I see its Steve. "Hi love" I smile as he comes running in and jumping onto my bed.

"God you look great" he pushes my hair behind my ears "you know this is my depression pit so no comments or sarcasm" I joke. Since Billy died I haven't done much, at all, haven't got a job, haven't seen anyone but Steve and Max, he was my twin, losing him was like losing an arm, or leg. 

"So, guess what" he gets into my bed beside me, allowing me to rest my head on his shoulder. "What is it?" I ask once comfortable with his arm around me "I got the job!" I sit up and look at him "No way! you don't even know anything about movies!" I give him a tight hug "im so proud of you" I place my hand on his cheek and give him a quick kiss.

"Thank you thank you, it may have took Robin to convince the guy but I got it" I roll my eyes and laugh at him. "Did you say goodbye to Jonathan and everyone for me" I lay back on his shoulder. "Of course, it was sad but hopefully their life is better up there" he wraps his arm back around me.
