Meeting Steve Harrington (X Reader)

"Fuck" I shout as I sleep through my alarm "shit shit shit" I run around the house trying to get dressed before im late to work.

"Billy" I call out in the hopes he can drive me there. "Billy" I shout again but the house is silent, no max, no mum, no Billy.

I run to his room, empty, his bed made, untouched. "What the hell" Billy is always home at this time, im always home alone with him at this time where the hell is he. 

I run down to the kitchen to grab some water "Hey, with the guys ill see you later, Max :)" a note left on the counter by Max, and I know mum is at work, but nothing from my brother. I call out one more time, well, scream out one more time. "Billy are you here" nothing but silence fills the house. "Fuck sake" I grab my keys and run out the house.

"Running late are we?" Steve sits outside in his car waiting for me. I let out a sigh of relief as I lock the door. "Thank you so much" I try to catch my breath as I get into the passenger seat. 

"I told you im picking you up" he laughs as I buckle up and start applying my makeup in the mirror "Why were you screaming?" he asks as we pull out of the house and head to the mall. "its Billy, we are always home together at that time but his room as empty" I mumble while trying to apply my lip gloss. 

"Hey, don't get that on the car" Steve budges my arm "I will if you keep nudging me" I turn to him. Wow, what a view, Steve Harrington driving is quite possibly the most sexy thing, one hand on the wheel, other in his hair. "You okay?" he asks, catching me staring "yep sorry" I snap out of it and look back in the mirror.

"Alright you open up ill get things sorted in the back" I take his orders and start setting tables up and opening the store doors so customers can come in. 

"What the hell" I hear him shout so I go running to the back. "What is it- who the hell are you" I quickly question as a girl sits in our back place. "Oh hi, Im Robin" he stands up, placing her hand out for us to shake. I dart my eyes to Steve and back to her "Steve" he shakes her hand "y/n" I gently shake it. "Sorry I got here early and was told to wait for you two, im like your supervisor or something" she sits back and eats a bag of chips.

"Right... okay" I nod confused. "So like you work here with us now?" I question "Wait wait wait, Robin...", "Steve Harrington, the one with the hair" she points at his head, great, they know of each other. "You're in the band, right??" he gets excited as he starts to recognise her. "I'll leave you two to catch up" I clap my hands together and make my way back to the store front.

Some time goes by and im finishing up with some customers that took forever to pick a flavour "Have a nice day" I fake a smile and hand them their cones as they turn and leave. "Hi" Dustin appears infront of me as the couple leave "Hey Dustin!!" I smile and lean over the counter, giving him a brief hug. "Hi yea, is he here?" I let out a sigh as I hear Steve running through the doors.

"Henderson!!" He shouts and sprints to Dustin "Henderson! He's back y/n!!" "Im back!" they start doing this god awful handshake, involving light savers and shit. "Alright you two, Steve you can have your break so you can catch up, or whatever this is" I point them over to a booth that was free.

*Steves POV*

"No, no, no way, hotter than Phoebe Cates? No" I sit with Dustin as he tucks into a sundae. "Mm,hmm, brilliant too. And she doesn't even care that my real pearls are still coming in, she says kissing is better without teeth!" I sit nodding, scared and confused but happy for the kid.

"Wow yea that's great, proud of you man" I cheer him on. "What about you, any romance for the Harrington" Dustin asks while biting a cherry "Nothing for the Harrington" I look over at y/n as she serves customers, with that gorgeous smile across her face. "what about y/n" I turn back to Dustin
