Y/N POV

I groaned, sitting up in my bed while squinting at the sunlight beaming through my windows. I sat for a second, enjoying the warmth casting through the window before cutting my eyes at the alarm clock to see it blinking 8:45 AM. "Shit, shit, shit." I mumbled, practically falling out of my bed, as I grabbed my glasses off my bedside table.

I was late for school, and while that isn't much of a big deal, I had promised Eddie I'd help him study for his Spanish final during our free period, which was soon. I ran into the bathroom; brushing my teeth, skipping over my makeup routine, combing through my hair, and finally I reached into the drawer to grab my contact lenses.

Of course, this would take me a little longer than just throwing on my glasses, but I never wore them in public. Most people weren't even aware I wore glasses, except for my best-friend Steve Harrington, who has been sworn to secrecy since finding out.

I quickly grabbed the small container split into two little circles, opening it, only to drop it as quickly as I picked it up. "No." I mumbled out trying desperately to find the little clear half circle's on the ground, but failing miserably.

I looked back at the clock by my bed, it now reading 8:55 AM, so I quickly put my glasses back on, scrambled back into my room, throwing on the first thing I could find, along with a random pair of tennis shoes, before grabbing my bag and quickly running out to my car, praying this would be one of the mornings it doesn't take six tries to start.

Once outside I threw my stuff into the passenger side and turned the key, listening to the car spit and sputter out I frustratingly turned it again, hitting the steering wheel, as the engine roared to life. I let out a thankful sigh while tugging on my seatbelt and switching the gearshift into drive.

Within record time I was parked in the student parking area of the school and speed walking through the doors to go sign in. Once in the front office I read their clock, 9:13 AM, causing me to let out a breath of relief. I wasn't late to our free period, it was just about to start, which led me to another problem as I walked to my locker.

Within one minute, the entire school would be fleeing into the hallways, going to their next class, and while I knew the whole school wasn't going to stop and stare, as they had their own lives, I was mainly worried about what Eddie would think.

Eddie and I had been together for about seven months now, and I've managed to hide my glasses pretty well. Normally we sleep over at his house if we ever stay the night with one another, so I just sucked it up and slept in my contacts. It's not like Eddie would verbally make fun of me, but I didn't want him to see me any different, and my glasses kind of made me resemble closer to a 13 year old girl, rather than a 17 year old one.

I took a deep breath, sliding my glasses off and setting them in my locker, looking around, narrowing my eyes, trying to see if I could just live without them for seven more hours, but it proved to be rather difficult. Nonetheless, I sucked in a breath of air, closing my locker and leaning against it as the bell rang, waiting for Eddie to stop by, like he always does.

Not even 30 seconds later I felt Steve put his hand on my shoulder causing me to turn around. "Where we're you this morning Y/N?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows. I sighed shaking my head "Well, I woke up late after promising Eddie we'd study during our free period, and I dropped my contacts before I left, so I had to wear my glasses here." I said all in one breath.

I watched Steve's little brown blob of hair bounce around as he shifted his weight to his other foot before cocking his head at me. "Uh, correct me if I'm wrong Y/N/N but I don't see your glasses." He finished. "Well, obviously, they're in my locker. I can't let Eddie see them, what if he doesn't like how I look with them." I said.

Steve shook his head, crossing his arms "Then I'll kick his ass, Y/N you should be like legally blind, get your glasses out before you trip and really embarrass yourself." He finished as I felt a pair of warm arms snake around my waist.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Eddie joked as he leaned forward kissing my cheek. I turned around smiling at him, narrowing my eyes to try to further define his features, but failing miserably. "Hey." I finally said as he nodded his head towards Steve's direction.

"So, why were you late Mrs. always on time?" He joked as he let go of me. I shrugged my shoulders at him "Just you know, woke up late." I said, causing him to nod. "Wow, that's a first, but uh- Steve mind if I steal her, we have a study date." He said wiggling his eyebrows.

Steve let out a small chuckle nodding his head before turning towards me to wave bye. I waved back as he suddenly disappeared into the fuzzy blob of people I could hardly see. Eddie grabbed my hand, swinging my book bag over his shoulder before heading off towards the library so we could study.

We had been sitting beside one another for around 30 minutes now. Eddie at least appeared to be studying, but every time I found myself somewhat focused on the words, they'd mix together again. Sighing, I laid my forehead down on my book, suddenly feelings Eddie's cold rings press against my thigh.

"Are you alright, sweetheart?" He questioned while leaning closer to my ear, slowly running his hand up and down my thigh. I thought about my answer for a minute before mumbling a small 'fuck it' to myself. "I-I need my glasses." I mumbled out, looking down at our shoes instead of his face.

Eddie let out a hushed laugh, trying not to get us into trouble. "Uh Y/N did you get into my stash or something because last time I checked you don't wear glasses, I mean we've been together seven months, I'd know." He ranted. I bit my lip, finally looking up at him.

"I do though, Eddie, I just don't like how they make me look, so I hid them from you by just always wearing my contacts, but I lost them this morning when I was in a hurry and so I hid my glasses in my locker and I just- I can't see, anything and it's really starting to give me a headache." I stressed to him a bit nervously.

His face softened as he titled my chin up "Baby you don't have to hide things from me." He started, cupping my face with his hands, "I think you're the prettiest girl in the world." He finished, pecking my lips. I let out a nervous chuckle before mumbling a small 'Thank you' in his direction.

He let out another hushed laugh as he grabbed a pen, holding it towards his hand, "What's your locker combination? I'll go get them for you." He offered. I smiled at him, "It's 07-21-35" I said. He got up, kissing my head before mumbling a quick 'be right back baby' next to my ear.

I sat there twisting the rings around my fingers waiting for him to get back before hearing the library door push open again. Looking up, I couldn't make out if it was exactly him or not, but I was almost sure it was. Within a few seconds, the blob cleared some and continued walking towards my table until Eddie sat down, spinning the frames in his hand.

He handed them to me, to which I quickly slid them on, looking up at him. As soon as I did a big smile spread across his face as he grabbed my chin, pulling me in for another kiss. "You really are beautiful sweetheart." He said smiling at me.

I smiled back at him before pulling him into a tight hug. "Thank you, for always making me feel pretty." I said as he hugged me back tightly. "Just making sure you see what I see Y/N/N." He whispered back before we parted and continued with our studying until our free period ended 45 minutes later.

A/N: Kinda cheesy but oh well.
