Y/N POV
I slammed the door to my locker shut, turning around right as Eddie walked up to me. "Hey, sweetheart." He said, leaning in to quickly peck my lips, before putting his hand beside my head against the lockers to hold himself up.
I smiled, "So I was thinking that we could go by Family Video later to rent a movie, and then order Chinese food from that place in town." I said to him. His eyebrows furrowed as his lips twisted into a slight frown, "As much as I love spending time with you—and Chinese food, I can't, I have that big Hellfire meeting tonight." He said back.
I nodded "Oh, but you know tonigh-" I started to say before Mike's voice cut me off. "Eddie, can't wait to finish the campaign tonight." He said as he passed us in the hallway. Eddie smiled big, "Can't wait either Wheeler, be ready for the surprise of your life." He called back.
He turned back to me, pecking my lips again before removing his hand from beside me "I have to go start getting ready, but maybe we can do all that tomorrow, ok sweetheart." He said, placing his hand on my hip and slightly squeezing it while pecking my lips. "Alright, bye." I said kind of quietly as he walked away, turning back once to smile at me.
I gave him a small smile back as I made my way out of the building, to my brother, Steve Harringtons, car so he could take me home. I shouldn't be upset with Eddie, I could've told him why it was actually important that he be there tonight, but I knew how much Hellfire meant to him, and a part of me wanted him to just remember on his own. Today marked one whole year of us dating, and I mean it wasn't the biggest thing in the world but he didn't even seem to remember and I didn't want to bring up the fact that he forgot and upset him—even if it did upset me.
I got into the car, letting my book bag fall into the floorboard as Steve furrowed his eyebrows, looking at me "Uh, hey to you too, asshole." He joked. I rolled my eyes at him "Not today Steve, I'm busy sulking." I said, cutting my eyes over to him as I slumped down into my seat, crossing my arms.
He raised his hands in mock defense, shaking his head before turning up the radio as we waited for Robin. Eventually Robin hopped into the backseat mumbling a quick 'hey' to me and Steve before she was off rambling about Vickie the entire way to our house.
"So then today sh-" She continued but suddenly cut herself off, "Wait, Y/N why are you being so quiet? I swear normally you're talking back just as much as I am. Did I do something? Because if I did something I swear I'll fix it or you know if Steve did something, I'll like quietly murder him in the back of Family Video or-"
"Robin." I called out, cutting her off "Nothings wrong I'm just tired." I said leaning up a little in my seat. Steve rolled his eyes, glancing at Robin through the rearview mirror "Bullshit, tell us what's wrong." He deadpanned.
