sunoo stopped attending the hotline after that day.
his feelings towards sunghoon would most definitely become an obstacle for his job, so how could he give love advice to others when his own love life was such a wreck?
it's funny though. was it really possible for him to still love that boy the way he did so long ago? why would he still have such a soft spot for the person who caused so much damage to his young heart?
setting that aside, he finally got a break for the first time in his 3 years of high school, so at least now he had somewhat of a normal life again. he always spent so much time looking after others that he would often forget to take care of himself, but he refused to acknowledge it.
"sunoo darling, dinner's ready!"
his mother's honey-like voice brought him out of his little thought bubble, making him finally stop fidgeting a little daisy hairpin between his fingers. he shook off any thoughts about sunghoon or the hotline and began to walk downstairs.
"i'm coming, eomma!"

sorry, the heartbreak hotline is currently
out of serv—"shit" sunghoon sighed throwing his phone on the bed. he'd been trying to reach the hotline for three days straight, yet he had no luck. it was like they were never there in the first place, like it was only a fake memory he created to cope with his problems.
the teen screamed into his pillow in frustration, miserably failing at muffling the sound of his whining.
a concerned-looking yeji then walked into her brother's room, quietly sitting beside him on the bed. "are you gonna keep throwing tantrums or are you going to tell me what the heck is wrong with you"
his head shot up for a brief moment, seeming offended by her comment "what? nothings wrong with me"
"you've been stuck in your room for nearly a week, i know something's wrong, sunghoon-ah"
sunghoon sunk into the mattress in defeat. she was right, something was wrong. many things were wrong, actually. his "relationship" was worse than ever and his only source of comfort had disappeared immediately after his last call.
"yeji" he sighed deeply, turning to face his sister. "would you see me differently if i told you what's going on?"
yeji smiled. "i think you're an ass regardless of what you do, so no, i doubt i would"
well, at least she's honest.
a low chuckle escaped sunghoon's lips as he sighed, mentally preparing himself for the conversation. after building up some confidence, his eyes finally met yeji's.
"do you remember anything about the conversation you overheard a month ago?"
"yeah?"
"well, that's not even 10% of what's been going on between me and jay"
