The Flash: Running back home

3: Pain

(This chapter will focus between Barry and Iris)

Barry's side:

Barry got stab by Thawne, Jay took him back to Earth prime and him and his wife did everything to save Barry.

Barry woke up on a bed, he looked around and saw Jay.

"Jay? What happened?" Barry asked.

"You got stabbed Barry, you need rest." Jay looks at him.

"But, I need to stop the Reverse Flash. He may do more damage-"

"Barry, you are hurt badly, you can't keep pushing yourself. You need rest." Jay explained.

"If I don't stop Thawne, He may kill more people including Iris and Nora!" Barry yelled.

"Barry, sometimes you need to take a few steps back, If you don't rest...You may even die fighting him." Jay told him.

"I rather die than letting my wife and daughter suffer." Barry muttered as he lay down.

Jay sighed and left the room, giving Barry space.

Barry's POV:
I miss my wife and daughter, but Thawne is still out there, and if I don't stop him...There might not be a future for Nora, or me and Iris.

Thawne will not take away my family from me.

"I will come back, I promise..." I whispered as I remember the memories being with Iris and Nora.

Iris' side:
Nora was watching cartoons on the tv while Iris sat on the dining table.

Iris' POV:
I love Barry Allen with all my heart, I don't want to lose him.
I remember him singing to me when he proposed to me, he has an amazing voice.
He always makes me happy, I want him to feel that way too.
I miss my scarlet speedster, I miss everything about him...His hugs, his voice, his smell, Not to mention his cooking.

I miss my husband...
But I will keep his promise, to keep running.

Iris closed her journal, trying not to let out her tears.

"I love you Barry..." Iris thought as she wipes away her tears.

Nora then looked at her mother, she was confused what was going on.

Iris looked at Nora who was looking at her.

"Nora?" Iris said, Nora turned back to the TV and continued watching.

Iris sighed, hoping Barry will come back.

Barry's side:
Barry sat up, he just woke up from a 3 hour nap, now that he's rested, he is determined to get back on his feet.

"Woah woah, slow down kiddo." Jay said.

"Jay, I appreciate you helping me...But, I need to stop Thawne. I am rested, trust me...I'll be fine." Barry said calmly.

"Fine, come, There is pizza." Jay smiled.

"Thanks Jay." Barry stood up, and walked with Jay to the dining room.

"Are you guys really sure I can stay here?" Barry asked.

"Don't worry Barry, you are very welcome." Joan said.

"Ya Barry, you can stay with us." Jay smiled.

"Thank you, for helping me." Barry smiled.

They continued eating pizza, after, Barry went back to the guest room and sat down, remembering Him and Iris' wedding day, He smiled.
