(Narrator's POV)
"Mewni is such a massive place. Even though I've lived here for years, I…hey! Steven! Are you listening to me?" Star asked as she was showing Steven around. But it was more as if she was showing him around and he was constantly off in space, her words nothing more than a bunch of muffled words as the hybrid's mind drifted off onto things that had nothing to do with what she was talking about. And needless to say, Star was getting annoyed at being ignored.
"Hey! Have you heard a single word I've said about Mewni? It seems like you've been just staring off into space the whole time! What is with you anyway?" She asked, crossing her arms as Steven looked at her.
"Sorry. My mind just drifted, that's all. I have a lot on my mind, all right? It's nothing you should be concerned about." He replied as Star sighed.
"Listen. If it worries Eclipsa, then it worries me. Plain and simple. Now what's on your mind? Does it have anything to do with where you came from or what happened to you before you came here?" She asked as Steven just gave her a look.
"As I said: It's nothing you should be concerned about. My past is my past. What happened to me isn't something I want to openly talk about. I didn't know this tour became a fucking sharing circle! And why would I talk to you about it, anyway?!?" Steven snapped as Star bristled at the outburst.
"What is your problem?!? There's no need to be a rude asshole about it! I just wanted to know….!" She began to go off.
"Would you just shut the Hell up?!? I just met you! I don't know you! Hell I'm not even sure I fucking like you!! And I don't give a rat's ass if you think I'm being rude, especially since that's how you fucking were when I met you!!!! So who the Hell are you to judge me?!?" Steven snapped as Star was about to fire back until a portal opened up…
"Would you two calm the fuck down already?!? Yeesh, I can practically hear you from the Neverzone!!!!" A voice exclaimed as a curvy woman with red hair, fur skin and horns came out.
"Who are you?" Steven asked as the woman smiled.
"Name's Heckapoo. Nice to meet you, Steven. Heard about you from Eclipsa. Seems like you've really been through it." Heckapoo said as Star huffed in reply.
"And he seems pretty damn reluctant to talk about it too, even to those who just wanna make him feel better!! Were you like this back where you're from too?" She asked as Steven then felt himself get angry.
"You fucking bitch!!!! You don't know shit about what happened to me, so shut your mouth!!!" Steven said as he looked ready to fight until Heckapoo stepped between him and Star.
"Whoa! First off: Uncalled for, Star! Second off, calm down, Steven. Star is just…you know what? Screw it. She can be a bitch. But no need to lose your cool over it. She isn't worth the energy when she's like this. Be the bigger person in this, OK? That'll make me happy and I'm sure it'll make Eclipsa happy too." Heckapoo said as Steven took a deep breath and calmed down just as another portal appeared. But this was more of a vision than a transport.
"Heckapoo? Is Steven with you? What's going on?" Eclipsa asked as she appeared in the portal.
"Other than Star being a terrible and rude host, nothing. And yeah he's right here." Heckapoo said, motioning to Steven who smiled. Somehow he felt he could do that around Eclipsa.
"Steven. I have some people I'd like you to meet: My daughter Meteora and the former Queen Moon Butterfly. Both of them are here and awaiting your arrival." Eclipsa said as Steven smiled before the Queen looked at Star in a stern way, clearly upset with her attitude.
"Star. When I asked you to show Steven around Mewni, I did so hoping you'd atone for your earlier rudeness. But it seems as if you've been rude yet again. What is the matter with you?" She asked as Star looked at the ground like a child awaiting punishment.
"I…just wanted to know why he's so upset. What happened to him before he came here. I know it's something he doesn't want to talk about and maybe I crossed the line with what I said but…" She began to say.
"But nothing. Steven is not obligated to explain himself to you about his past if he does not wish to do so. Now apologize to him this instant." Eclipsa said as Star looked at Steven.
"Steven…I'm sorry. She's right. I was out of line. Can you forgive me and I'll make this up to you somehow?" She asked as Steven smiled and nodded.
"Sure. It's alright, Star. I forgive you." He replied as Star smiled and hugged him.
"Thank you! I'll make up for how I was, I swear I will! Now I just gotta figure out how to do it! I'll see you later!" She said as she took off like a rocket.
"I'll see you soon, Steven." Eclipsa said as the portal closed and Steven follows Heckapoo to the castle.
Meanwhile, back at the castle, Eclipsa felt strange after seeing Star hug Steven. It's as if…she wanted to be the one hugging him. Was the feeling she felt…jealousy?
"Gah. What is wrong with me? Why do I feel so strange? It's…an odd feeling. But nevertheless, it shall not interfere with my duties as Queen." Eclipsa said as she awaited the arrival of Steven and Heckapoo.
