Asha brewed tea, and they all sat in the dining room around the table. Asha brought the hot teapot and some cups."I'm pretty happy I get to meet you today."Asha smiled, looking at Tara; Asha poured them some tea.

"Seth brought me here; he said you could help me, Ms.Amaris."Tara sipped on the tea, and Asha looked at her.

"Give me your hands, child." Tara put down her tea and gave Asha her hands. Asha flipped them over and started to caress the palm."The energy I haven't felt in a long time."Asha looked over at Seth."I'm happy you brought her in time.'Asha got up and held Tara's, jolting her upwards and bringing her to Seth's father's study. Asha pulled out a book, and the wall began to shake, opening into a secret passage.

"This is so cool."Tara looks at Seth, her eyes sparkling with joy. Asha walked down the steps, then Tara. Seth followed her, holding her waist; she smiled, looking up at him. Milo followed behind them.

They walked down and saw a room filled with shelves, books filling them to the brim. Tara looked around in pure delight. She looked at Seth and smiled even brighter."Why did you bring us, Mrs.Amaris."

"Dear, it's Asha, please. Besides, this is a bit safer place to talk."Asha said, sitting in a little corner next to a fireplace. Seth, Milo, and Tara sat on the small couch across from her. "I need you to tell me what happened."

"It started when I went to a coffee shop and rushed into him like an idiot, then we started talking, and I told him about the library, and he was curious, so I took him with me. Then I found this strange book. But we spent weeks just talking then today I asked him to meet me.

"But Seth said you figured out who he was, a vampire."Asha exclaimed, drinking her tea, swirling the mug around."And this book, what was in this book you were reading."

'Maledicite in lunas.' (The Moons Curse.)I found it in the library; that's the only reason it was in my possession. "Tara said, trying to explain her reasoning. I studied till I found out about the chapter on Blood Sun Rings."

"The only reason vampires can be in daylight," Milo said. Tara looked at him and nodded.

"Kian Lycan is the smartest vampire in his coveen to date. There would be a reason why he would go after you."

"I've also been getting this feeling of being watched. And I've been seeing this black smoke behind me; when I got out of the shower one day, it was behind me in the mirror, then I turned and saw nothing."

Asha looked at Tara, leaned more towards Seth, and his hand continued to stay on her lower back, his fist clenched anytime they brought Kian up. Asha quickly got up, and Tara got up, following her. She grabbed a chain with a ball of string and some flower petals." Like superstition, garlic wards off vampires, but garlic flowers do it better. Keep this on you at all times."Tara bowed her head, and Asha placed it around her neck. Keep salt on the edge of your window for added protection."

Tara nods and looks back at Seth."What does Kian want from me? I'm just a regular human."Tara looked at Asha, and her chest got heavy."Did her plan on eating me?"

"Vampires don't eat humans; they just shuck out all the blood inside them, "Milo said; everyone returned to him. Seth glared and smacked his head and went over to comfort Tara.

"The only reason he knows that you exist is because of me. I don't know how he figured out I know you, but she did, and it got you in trouble."Seth turned around, and Tara looked at him and held her face.

"Your fault?! Kian knowing I exist couldn't be your fault anyway, don't blame yourself that I got in trouble with someone Seth. You had my back, back in the park, and I'm so lucky that you and Milo saved me."Tara said, holding her heart, looking up at him, and smiling genuinely."I'm lucky you were there when I needed you; you will always be there."Tara hugged him, and Seth quickly wrapped his arms around her. Not wanting to ruin the moment, Asha and Milo promptly went back into eh house.

"If anything happens, you need to call me. Do you understand that little bunny?"Seth picked up Tara's face and nodded, her face squashed between his hands.

"Nothing is your fault. I hope you know that."Tara gave herself a slight pause before continuing with something that's been in her mind."I need to give the book back; that's how I got into this mess."

Seth looked at her and nodded. Tara was still in Seth's arms as since fell between them. Tara felt her heart beating again as Seth looked down at her. She looked at his forest green eyes, then his lips, then back at his eyes. She wanted to faint. She didn't notice that he got closer, looking at her eyes. he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and cupped the side of his face. Her lips were so tight, but Tara turned away quickly, walking to the stories." We needed to go; it's already getting late." she turned back to look at him. Then ran up the steps. Seth followed slightly.

Tara thanked Asha at least a hundred times, Tara asking if she could come over for tea one day."I think that would be amazing."Asha patted her shoulder as they all waved by heading to the car. Tara decided to sit in the back seat. The car ride was silent. Milo was taking a nap, and Tara looked at the moon; Seth peaked at her in the mirror. Her face lengthy glowed in the moon.

Seth drove to the front of Tara's building, and Tara opened the door, slamming it, Seht rolled down the window, and Milo leaned flowed waking up and slightly waking up."Go back to bed."Tara patted Milos's head, and she looked at Seth."I can't thank you enough."

"I'll text you tomorrow, okay?"Seth asked, and she nodded, walking through her front door and waving to her doorman. Seth drove away.

Tara's hands shook as she pressed the elevator button to her floor; she felt herself get smaller as the walls around her started to collapse. The elevator door opened, and she quickly walked to her door. Her keys rattled as she opened the door, slammed it shut, slid down the door, and held the necklace Asha gave her.
