Tara washed off the hot tube and her argument with her roommate; she needed sleep for tomorrow. She checked her phone to see if Asha had texted her back.
'I would love that, dear, come by the house around 12.' She smiled, closed her phone, grabbed a bo,x and launched herself onto her bed. she turned on her bedside light and started to read. The lines began to blur, and Taras's eyes began to droop, closing ever so often. she let her head falls back into the pillow, letting sleep take over.
Seth
'Why are you so stupid.'Seth talked to himself repeatedly, contemplating what he had said to Tara."He wouldn't have regretted that night and wanted that kiss to happen so bad. he dreams about what her lips felt like. He hated that she felt like this, but was that true for her? She would regret kissing him, or is that what she wanted to believe? Seth paced in the living room back and forth and grabbed his phone to make a call.
"What your roommate left you already."Milo's groggy voice answered.
"Not in the mood Milo," Seth said in his commanding voice, waking Milo with horror and alertness but still a bit of sleep.
"I need to meet with you tomorrow. Do I make myself clear?
"A please would be nice."Seth could hear Milo pout through the phone. Seth let out a high in annoyance.
"Would you like that to come over more, please?"Seth rolled his eyes as his friend answered with a 'yes, hanging up the phone and walking up the stairs
Seth was walking to her door and saw it slightly open; he needed to turn off the tube and take a shower; he made plans for Milo to come over; he was in some loss joggers and a black tee that showed most of his tattoos. He walked inside and tucked her in, pulling the blanket over her. he closed the book to where she must have stopped and turned off the light. He pushed back a strand of hair and kissed her forehead." tonight didn't go as I planned, and I'm so sorry. Get some sleep, bunny." he closed the door as he left.
Tara startled awake when she touched the grass underneath her, and the sun shined on her face. She rubbed her eyes to get used to the sun; she wasn't in her room anymore. She was in a field, and trees surrendered her. a big white mansion with a garden was a few yards away. She looked down, wearing her silk pajama pants and shirt. she quickly walked to the estate and looked around."Hello? Is anyone here?"She walked and saw an older woman sitting under the gazebo. she was reading a book while having a cup of tea. "Excuse me, I seem to be lost."
"Welcome, Tara; I've been expecting you the woman said, closing her book and looking at Tara. The woman had her mixed grey hair nice and curled, which framed her slender face. Her grey eyes held wisdom and compassion as they looked at Tara. "Come as a seat, my dear." Tara started at the elderly woman,' how did she know her name? who was she?'
"how do you know my name."Tara took a seat as the woman suggested, and her hands began to fiddle with the bottom of her shirt.
"My dear, I know everything about you. I'm your grandmother, and welcome to the Afterlife."
"I'm dead! Horror raised in Tara's voice as she stood back, shaking her head, pacing back and forth; her grandmother shook her head as she watched Tara; the older woman went to her side, calming Tara down.
"Oh no, dear, I'm a witch. We can do projectile Afterlife, and we can communicate with the living a spell you will conjure soon enough." the woman said, sitting tara back in her chair and giving her some water. She returned to her own and stroked a raven perched on the table.
"I'm not gonna get started on how you are, my grandmother."Tara cooled her breath, and the older women nodded."But yo, you're a witch? I've only met one witch before."
"oh, my apprentice, how is she." tara gave her a questioning look. "Asha, my dear, I was her teacher and many more." the woman said with utmost joy giving a bright smile."She and I always got along, unlike my daughter who always wanted to be with her father the credit he was."
The older woman's words started tara; she knew little to non about her birth parents."could you tell me about my mother? I don't know much about her."
"Your mother didn't have magic like Asha and me. I knew she could feel a difference, so she would always be with her father; she enjoyed that much more; she couldn't give a damn what I thought, especially when she met your father; it was just after your grandfather's passing, and she found comfort in him. She loved that boy and wanted to get married after meeting each other. She couldn't even let me tell them that .they were still young, but I would have still excepted him; your father was a brave and well-mannered young man. They got married without telling anyone and had you. I passed away before I could even meet you, and the car crashed. That's when you lost your parent. "
A single tear slipped from Tara's eyes, and she looked at her grandmother."I feel so bad that I didn't ask for your name."
"Charlotte Morgana."Charlotte said, and Tara nodded, giving a light smile." Oh, I can't wait for you to teach your source."
"Source. Source for what?"
Well, your magic, of course."Charlotte took a sip out of her cup. "You are a witch; after all, it's part of the magic to know which source you are from."
"I don't have any magic; at least it's never shown."Tara kept her face composed, but her voice got dark with anger."I'm sorry, Charlotte, but the idea of you being my grandmother and contacting me from the dead tells me that you've been able to do this for years and never once tried to contact me."She rose from her chair and stood, lowering her head. The sky around them grew darker, and Charlotte looked around in discomfort. the raven was stroking fell away at the sound of lighting in the sky."So my dear grandmother, what took you so long to reach me finally?"Traa raised her head, and her eyes were a ghost white.
"You must prepare for the journey that lies ahead with that Lycan boy. He will come back and finish his job."
Tara's eyes glowed with anger, and her voice grew distant and shaky as she spoke."What job, what is his plan for me."The wind began to howl, and the sky was s dark grey as the sound of lighting began to grow louder. Charlotte spoke, but her voice was unmatched by the notice of lighting and wind.
Tara woke up in her room. She held her shoulders and looked at the mirror in front of her bed; her eyes were white, she blinked, and they were back to normal.
