Tara lifted the sheets off her and got ready to meet with Asha. The memories of last night ran through her head on repeat. she rubbed her eyes trying to get the images out of her head. she got up and walked downstairs, needing to make her coffee. she saw some flowers with a note on the counter.

'Last night didn't go like it was planned; I'm sorry we fought.'- Seth <3

"I hated that we fought last night; it wasn't supposed to go like that."Seth's voice made tar turn around, and she looked up at him. "it's just, I feel a need to protect you."

"I don't want you to protect me if you think it will get you killed; Kian says he wants me for something; he won't kill me until he accomplishes his goal."Tara turned back and got some fresh coffee Seth brewed.

"This is not about Kian, that night. would you have regretted it?"Seth walked closer, and she kept making her breakfast. "tara, can you please answer? Would you have regretted that night if we kissed?"

No, she wouldn't have what she said haunted her thoughts when she was in the shower."Seth was angry; I wasn't right in the head."

"Answer the question."Seth's voice was harsh, making Tara glare looking up at him. he looked down at her; he looked angry, but his eyes held a secret passion.

Tara bites her lower lip, anxious about her words."I wouldn't have; I was just angry, Seth. I'm mad that you think I can't handle myself. When I can. I've been protecting myself for a very long time, so I don't need your help when it comes to ensuring I'm safe; I can always ensure I'm safe."Tara's eyes glistened with anger as she walked away. Seth turned around, wanting to stop her.

'she's angry to leave her be.'Seth cooled down and pushed his hair back, making himself something to eat.

Tara slammed her door and got ready to meet Asha after last night. She desperately needed to talk with her.'Does she know my grandmother? Did she feel something when I met her? Charlotte said I had powers.is that true? Would Asha help me with them?'

The question followed through Tara's brain as she got ready. She wore loose-fitted pants, a 'Led Zepplin shirt, and a black zip-up. She slid onto her van, grabbed her keys, and walked out of the house to her car.

She saw a yellow jeep pull next to her; as she was pulling out, rolling down the windows, she saw Milo."Hey Tara."

"Hey Milo, ill be home late tonight."Tara backed away, and he nodded; she got on the road heading to Seth's parent's house.

Milo slammed his car door shut and knocked on the door."Seth, it's me, man; let me in."Seth opened the door, and Milo walked in, plopping himself on the couch while Seth made coffee. "I saw Tara on the way in; she told me she would be home late tonight. So what happened when I left yesterday?"

Seth walked in and sat in the chair next to him, sipping his coffee." it started when you left, and she asked if we could use the hot tube."

Tara

Asha heard  a knock on the door and saw Tara holding her arms together."Mrs.Amaris, it's great seeing you."Asha invited her in, and she had a pot of tea simmering on the open flame.

"I'm quite happy you texted me last night; I've wanted to talk with you."Asha smiled and brought ht tray of tea to the table.

"Yeah, I need to say thank you for the necklace; it's kept Kian away for some time."

"Makes me wonder what he's up to."Asha muttered under her breath, but tara could her, but she nodded. "is there something on your mind, dear."

"I got in an argument with Seth doesn't understand that I don't need. d his help. I've been taking care of myself for a very long time. The only reason I took him on the offer of even moving in with him was that my apartment building wasn't safe. And Kian doesn't know where he lives.

"You were wearing the necklace." Tara nodded at Asha's question. "But Seth then proceeded to call me saying that you were in trouble, saying you had a run-in with the vampires and called him for help, Tara; what you're telling me is that you're independent, and I can see that, but you also have fear on reliving people. Am I not mistaken."

Tara slumped in her chair and supposed on her warm tea. She looked at Asha."I guess your right."

"Let me tell you one thing about a werewolf, especially my son. He has always taken a need to protect those who seem like they can protect themselves. He's seen people at the weakest points and couldn't do anything to help them if he has the power to help someone. He held someone."Asha held onto tara hand, and tara felt a light squeezed and smiled."Lets my son help you, Tara."Tara nodded, and Asha's eyes glowed white.

"Your eyes?!"

" I knew the second you stepped into my home; you seemed electric."She smiled, taking a sip of her tea.

"I need your help. Charlotte contacted me and. she said someone could teach me about it." Tara stalled at the word that laid on her tongue, hoping Asha would understand

"magic? It is not a bad word. Outdated and out used by modern media, yes. But you are magical.

"Mrs.Amaris, I don't want to be an offense."Tara said, retreating her hand."But the stream 'magic' and 'magical' make me think I'm some princess locked away in a  tower."

"Another thing about media, the mess with everyone's head. God."Asha laughed, taking a sip from her cup."If you don't like that term, how about 'superhuman'? Is that a better term. Tara nods, and Asha stands. "well, my young superhuman, let's get started."

"Where are we going." Tara got up from her chair and looked at Asha

"The study, of course," Asha said, extending her hand. Tara took it, and she nodded with a smile. they went indie an old truck that more likely belonged to Mr.Amaris."

they drove till they entered the town's public library."Why are we at the library?"

"How else are we supposed to get there? Go on a broom and fly."Asha laughed at her joke, making Tara's eyes roll, and headed inside.

Asha waves at the librarians sitting at their table helping out little children and other parents. They head to the loft area where the head librarian's office was.
