Chapter Twenty-Two | In the Light

They finally stopped, and Kian walked out, giving Taras clothes back to her. she walked out barefooted and dressed. Kian placed a bag over her head, and some other arms started dragging her. she felt every rock and stick that poked and stabbed her body. They stopped, and Tara was informed of someone.

"tara?"Seth's voice looked like a forgotten song in her ears.

"Seth?"Tara said, trying to find his voice.

"Tara! Are you okay? You aren't hurt, right?"Milo asked, and Tara tried to find them.

"Enough with the catching up," Kian said, ripped the bag off Tara's head, and she saw the nurses on their skin. Milo left eye was dark, and Seth's mouth and nose were bleeding.

"Seth."Tara struggled in Kian's grip."Why are you doing this?"

"I would have finished the job long ago, but this little asshole just needed to get in my way."Kian pointed the knife at Seth." would you like to know my first murder, dear."Kian laughed. Tar looked up at him, and Seth glared.

"It was your boyfriend, older brother."Kian laughed, and tara looked at Seth, and he looked away."That day I would have ended the Amaris line; my father didn't know my plan. But you had to follow and not listen to Jonah."

"Don't you dare say his name!"Seth shouted

"Oh, feist."Kian says, smiling."But let me continue, shall we? Many moons ago, my father wanted to meet with the fleabag, but I was not too fond of the idea of them being anywhere near us. So I made a plan to show them not to mess with creatures that are more powerful than these monsters would ever be. I did some teaching and realized that the leader had a son. Jonah Amaris. And my little plan was to end his pathetic life. So I did. I loved seeing the life drain from his eyes as a bit into him. He was so helpless he didn't know what to do."Kian started laughing.

'Let me help.'Tara heard Charlotte's voice, and she started to look around.

"But for some reason didn't acquire to me that I should have just killed ht little brother," Kian said; he threw Tara away, and a vampire grabbed her to hold her still. Kian walked over to Milo and grabbed him by his hair. "Your pathetic little friend is next."Kian drags the back of the knife on Milos's face making him start painting in fear."Oh, don't worry, you'll watch him die first."Kian said, looking at Seth; his face was down, and he spotted blood on the ground. Seth grabbed him by his face to make him look up."I want to give you a choice."

Tara looked between a bloody and wounded Seth and a crazed Kain.'Close your eyes and let me take over.' Charlotte's voice said, and Tara looked around, trying to find her. Seth looked at her, and his eyes softened looking at her.

Kian slaps Seth to look up at him, and Seth spits out more blood, some dripping done his lips."Did you not listen, dog? I said I'm giving you a choice, be a thankful mutt."Kian said, grabbing his neck and slamming it back into the trees. Seth and Milo were bound to trees, and vampires were waiting for them to make sure they didn't escape.

"What are my choices."Seth huffs out; tara saw some blood seep out on his side.'Just close your eyes and relax; ill handle the rest.' charlotte said.

"Not now." tara whispered, and Kian sat playing with his knife.

"Your choices are, I kill you first, and your little girlfriend has to watch. Or I kill your girlfriend, and you have to watch as I strip everything you are and what you love away from you—starting with the girl and ending with your life.

"No." tara said, trying to get away from the vampire holding her."Don't make that choice. Seth, I down want to see you die."Tara's tears spilled from her eyes."Your the only good I have; please, you can't die."

"It's his call, dearest," Kian said, raising the knife ready to make the blow.

Seth looks at Kian and then at Tara. "Don't worry, you'll come to me," Seth said, closing his eyes, excepting his fate.

tara closed her eyes and relaxed.'Save Seth.'

A white and blue blast Mets the knife to the ground, and smoke from where Tara once stood caught Seth and Kian's attention."Marico, what are you doing."Kian yelled, and Marico flew back toward a tree and fell to the ground. Tara appears and starts levitating; her eyes are filled with lime green.

"Kian Lycan."Charlotte's voice spoke instead of Taras."You made an enemy you will need to face on your own. Tara blast the chains that are holding Seth and Milo. Seth started to punch Kian repeatedly but was weak from fighting Michale. Tara landed on the ground and started fighting a vampire. The vampire hassled her around and pushed her; she flipped onto her legs and blasted him into a tree.

Milo's head locked his vampire, and tara lifted him into the air and threw him into a tree. All that was left was Kian and Seth.

Kian and Seth start wrestling each other. slapping and punching one another."How dare you speak of Jonah."Seth yelled as the rain began to pour down. Michale appears, and Tara and Milo start to fight him, and Milo and tara go hand in hand with Michela. And Michale punched Milo squared in the jaw, making him cough up blood.

Tara's eyes glowed, and she jumped up and attacked her shell behind Michale and started to bang her head repeatedly on Michale's head.

"I should have killed you and every werewolf that day."Kian grabbed a rock, and Seth rolled away before Kian could smash it over his head.

Michale threw Tara into a tree and slid to the muddy ground; she looked up, and Michale grabbed a tree branch."Someone is going to die tonight.'He said, lifting the Branch, and Tara kicked his stomach, making him bend over and clutch it in pain. She sent a green blast his way and looked over to Milo.

"Milo.Milo!Stay with me."Charlotte's voice said, holding his head, trying to wake him up. He couches a little, and his eyes slightly open.

"I'm okay."He said, sitting up and holding his rib cage. Tara stood and saw Kian grab Seth by the neck.

"This is the end of the Amaris line, once and for all."Kian said, taking out a smaller knife."

"NO!" Tara blasted Kian's chest, sending him back into the woods, hitting trees. They heard the crashing of trees. Tara felt weak in her knees and heard Milo and Seth howl. Seth ran to her, and she fell in his arms.

"It is okay. I have you."Seth said, and Tara closed her eyes.
