Hallucinations [HxH story]

3- Cold flowers

Alluka's Pov

I never thought one's day could change in a matter of seconds! Well, actually, it's pretty reasonable that it can, but I never thought I'd change quickly for me and my brother! One moment, we're walking downtown to look at a very beautifully decorated Yorknew. To now being in contact with the one and only Gon Freecs! To think that my brother hasn't communicated with him for about 4, maybe 3 years!

My brother and I followed Gon as he led the way to the flower place he was talking about. I'm starting to have my doubts that there even is flowers here since we're in winter.

"Hey Gon, are you sure there's gonna be flowers during this season? It is snowing out here, after all. "

He smiles as he responds
"Of course! There's always a flower garden!"

Killua tagged into the conversation
"I don't know. I'm starting to have my doubts,"

He gives him a crummy look, but Gon just smiles at him
"You'll see there's gonna be flowers. It might not be spring flowers like tulips and Lilacs, but there's still gonna be some."

My eyes widened as Gon explained. I didn't think flowers would grow in snow! Killua looked just as confused

"Wait, I thought flowers only grew in spring. I never heard about winter flowers!" I gleamed

"Yeah, I've never seen flower in the snow," Killua budded in

"Yeah, most people don't really believe it either, but they do grow. All plants have different tolerances and temperature preferences. That's why most grow in different times. "

"Wow! That's cool! How do you know a lot about plants?" I asked curiously

Gon looked up at the sky and smiled.
"Well, I had a lot of free time in Whale Island. There weren't a lot of kids who liked me, so I was lonely most of the time. So I worked with what I had. Nature! I learned I had an interest and studied different kinds of plants. I experimented with them, too."

I scrunched up my nose, trying to think of the "experiments." He did
"Experimented with them?"

Gon nervously smiled at me, looking a bit embarrassed

"Haha.. Yeah. In a lot of ways, actually, sometimes I'd eat them. Sometimes, I'd make wounds and see if it'd help. I checked to see if they were edible, too, which they were most of the time,"

"And if they weren't..?" I asked curiously

Gon dodged the question and pointed towards a beautiful gate covered with green leaves that were gently laced with snow.

"There's the garden!"

We all make our way to the entrance. There was a booth that awaited us there. Gon happily took out money from his pockets and gave it to the man who was there. We were allowed in as soon as he received the money. We all made our way past the gate, heading inside.

"Y'know I could've paid for our entire fee." Killua said as we all made our way inside

Gon smiled and replied
"Well, I was the one who thought of coming here. It's only fair that I pay the fee. Besides, it was only 12 dollars for the three of us."

Killua made a face
"Isn't 4 dollars a bit of a ripoff?"

"No, I say it's worth it. It's a really beautiful garden." He replied
