12- Shopping Spree

Killua's Pov

Me and Gon walked out of the hospital. I wonder why Leorio was so desperate for me to hang out with him. Not that I don't want to, but he DID interrupt my sleep. Whatever, Gon is more important than anything I'm doing. Leorio is lucky that Gon was the excuse. If he woke me up for any other reason, then I'd happily wake him up at 2 in the morning in return. As I was thinking about all the funny ways I could wake Leorio up, I heard a quiet voice.

"So... Where are we going?" Gon asked

I turn to look at him. He had a grass green thin hoodie on. It was 27 degrees outside, no way he thought this was the right outfit for today.

"Are you not cold?? The temperature is well below freezing now" I said raising a brow at him

"No, I'm fine" he said, trying his best not to chatter his teeth but it was still pretty noticeable. To me at least.

I couldn't help but let out a grin, "Yeah, I don't believe you. I guess we know where we're going." I said

Gon looked at me and tilted his head like a confused dog.

"We're going to a store to buy you a proper jacket" 

"Oh! No, No, it's okay, really! I'll get used to it." He sputtered

"No we're going to a store and that's final" 

Gon hugged himself for warmth and sighed with a shiver, "I guess I can't argue with you. You're really stubborn" he grinned

I rolled my eyes, "Look who's talking, no one is more stubborn than you" 

Gon chuckled, "Yeah I guess that's true"

We both laughed a bit and we looked up stores in the area. Fortunately for us there's a mall nearby. We could take the city bus there.

"Hey let's take the city bus. It'll be like a 15 minutes ride there" I said

Gon frowned, "I don't like the bus very much. Can't we just walk?"

I shook my head, "It's a 30 minute walk there. You'll be a block of ice by the time we get there. If you don't like the bus then I'll just call a cab for us"

"Uh actually the bus is fine!" He blurted 

That was a little weird but you can never know with Gon so I shrugged it off. 

"Alright, there's a bus stop 2 blocks away from here. The bus won't take long to get here so I suggest we start walking" I said

And with that we both walked off

Killua's Pov

We both made it to the bus stop after a ten minute walk. Gon was shaking like a leaf so I eventually had to give him my jacket. He kept refusing it and pushing it away but I eventually forced it on him. I wasn't really cold anyways. I grew up on the mountains where temperatures drop below zero. I was trained to withstand harsh whether so either way I'm used to it. 

I look over at Gon, who was fidgeting with his fingers. He looked really nervous the whole walk here. 

"What's so bad about the bus?" I asked

He gave me a nervous smile, "I'm just not used to riding it. I always walk whenever I need to go somewhere" 

I scrunched my face at the thought of walking for more than 15 minutes. "Yuck I can't imagine that. I don't usually take the bus, I just get a cab"
