11- Scans and muffins

Gon's Pov

I sat on a chair that was beside the bed. I figured I should leave the bed how it is since I'm only waiting for Leorio. 

I looked around the room. There were some machines next to the bed and a curtain in the middle of the room. I look up at the ceiling light. There were two rectangle shaped lights. One of them had some sort of dead bug in them. The other had something moving in it. It moved around inside until it got to an edge. Three spiders crawled out of it. I'm not really afraid of bugs, I always played with them outside. Although I never thought a hospital would have bugs running around.

They all crawled away from each other and eventually went in areas I couldn't see. 

About a few minutes waiting in the room, Leorio finally came. He looked at me with a puzzled look.

"Shouldn't you be in a hospital gown?" He asked

"The nurse told me I could wear the clothes I have on. I don't really want to change out of them." I said, hoping he wouldn't make me change.

Leorio studied me, "I get that. The hospital is pretty cold. I don't think I'd want to either." 

He flipped to a page in his clipboard and frowned. "I have to ask you some questions regarding your injury, but I need to talk to you about something first." 

'Oh boy, here we go..'

I gulped, "Um okay" 

"I got your results from the nurse. I couldn't help but notice your weight. You're really underweight for your age, and your blood pressure is a bit low.. Are you eating okay?" He asked me

He had a face of concern and disappointment.

I made something up on the spot. "I sometimes forget to, but it's okay. I make up for it when I do remember," I stated

Leorio shook his head, "Gon, you weigh 118 lb. A boy your age and height should weigh much more than 118. Forgetting to eat every now and then shouldn't make you weigh this low." 

I felt irritated and annoyed, I didn't want to talk about this. I didn't come here for a lecture.

"Well, that's just how it is okay!? It's not a big deal. I didn't come here to talk about this! I only came here because all of you wanted me to. If I'm not going to get scanned, then I'm leaving!" I argued

"It is a big deal Gon! You could get really sick because of this! You know what? Forget it. Let's just go to the MRI room. Don't think we're done talking about this."  He said glaring at me

I rolled my eyes and sighed as I got up from my seat. Leorio opened the door and we both headed out. 

We both walked in silence. I glanced at him for a second, he doesn't seem mad. He looks more hurt than mad. Why does he care? I'm perfectly fine. I was even fine on Whale Island. Who is he to tell me what's a problem and what's not. 

I took my eyes off of him and looked forward. I saw about two cockroaches crawling around on the floor and one a wall. I take a look at Leorio as we walk past them. He gave no reaction to it. I guess seeing bugs in here is normal for him.

He led me to an elevator and pressed the button. As we waited for the elevator to arrive, I look at my surroundings. I see another spider on a corner, only this time it was on its web. I stared at it as it weaved its web, expanding it. 

A few seconds later, the elevator arrived. Leorio and I both walked in. He pressed the button to the third floor and the doors soon closed. The silence was getting pretty awkward. Very thick too. Like a window.
