Hiya!

Republishing this because I don't think all of it published the first time? I could only see about a few hundred words so lets try again!

Allura was trying to coax Keith out of his room.
"Keith please, I didn't see that much I swear."

Keith was wrapped up in a blanket sat on the floor on the other side of the room. Allura had seen inside his room, one of his biggest secrets.
"Yes you did." Keith sobs through baited breaths.
"Keith I didn't." Keith shakes his head and ducks his head further into his arms.

"Is this about the roommate situation? I've never seen you so upset before. I hope you know I would never force you into doing anything you didn't want to do I just thought it would be perfect. I understand that was very selfish of me and I should have spoken to you alone about it."
Keith sniffles.
"I don't want a roommate." Keith says, dejected, small.
"Then you won't have one Keith." Keith sniffles and wipes his eyes.

"Did you really not see in here?" Allura sighs.
"I saw... a blanket." Keith holds his breath and looks onto his bed. On top of the blanket was his colouring book and his hippo.
"My, blanket." Keith starts carefully. Allura hums.
"Yeah I uh, saw that. But that's it! I close the door the minute I realized I was snooping I swear!"

Keith feels his head go light and his lip wobble.
"You saw what I didn't want you to see."

Allura knew what he was referring to.

"Keith, what is wrong with it? People all take comfort in things. I have a colouring book at home! It's quite therapeutic! And my girlfriend sleeps with a teddy bear too. Well, more like a whole bed." Allura laughs, Keith stays quiet. It wasn't the same.

"It's not the same." Allura goes quiet for a moment.
"How so?" Keith lets out a built up sob. "It's not a hobby."
Allura takes a breath and leans up against the door.
"Shoot me down if I'm overstepping. But you know you can always tell me anything you know. We work together, you're one of my best friends, you're my little brother Keith," Keith cries a little lighter.
"And that applies for anything. People deal with trauma in lots of different ways."

Keith knew that she knew now. It was so obvious. He feels his throat go dry.

Five minutes go by, the two are sat in silence. Allura shuffles on the other side of the door. She whispers.
"Do you wanna watch a movie?" Keith snaps up, shocked by the noise.
"With... me?" Keith asks, slightly lost in headspace but still conscience enough to understand what's happening.
"Yeah Keith, with me. Your movie shelf always looks so full. But you never seem to watch anything. The same movies are just sat there constantly." Keith nods.

"I don't like them." Allura raises an eyebrow on the other side of the door.
"You don't like them?" Keith hums. "So why are they there?"
"Just decor." Allura hums this time.

Five more minutes pass. Keith was starting to sink deeper, biting at his nails and shuffling his feet along the floor. He hears Allura stand on the other side of the door.
"I'll not say anything." Allura says, breaking the silence. Keith jumps a little.
"You have nothing to say." Keith says. He hears Allura chuckle.
"Yeah? Well then we have no issues, come watch a movie."

Keith should have been happy.
Allura was willing to brush it all under the rug. Willing to pretend she hadn't seen anything. But it was making Keith more anxious. HAD she seen anything?
All these questions were making Keith's head spin.
Did Allura know or was she confusing it with something else?

"Keith?"
"I'm confused." He admits.
"Confused?" Allura asks, coming closer to the door again. "Keith do you really think I would react-"
"No stop!" Allura stops after being cut off by the younger.
She stays silent, allowing Keith to speak.
"I need you to be honest with me right now because I'm confused if you actually saw anything or if you are just pretending like you know when you don't or if you're trying to pretend you don'-"

"Keith." Allura sounds serious now. Keith quiets down.
"If you want to know I have to ask." Keith gulps a little. His headspace was long gone now. He was as serious as they come.
"Keith?" Keith takes a shaky breath as tears threaten to spill from his eyes.
"Yeah?" He says, quieter than before.
"What were those, things, actually for?" Allura says carefully. She had seen something online of adults indulging in younger things to heal their inner child and things like that but Keith was surprisingly secretive and upset for this to be the case.

There was no reply.
"Keith you can trust me. You know that right?"
There was another long pause.
